📊 Yukon 1000 Leaderboard Update & Placement Analysis 🚣‍♂️

We’re now down to 18 teams in the race, with 4 teams withdrawn:
• Untapped ( #3) earlier in the race
• And now Nobody Tell Karen ( #19), Waves to Wild ( #22), and Four Horsemen ( #1)
(📋 More details in the Race Director’s latest briefing.)

As we close out Day 4, the top 5 teams remain unchanged — a solid front pack holding their ground. 💪
• 🥇 Best Foot Forward NZ ( #4) continues to dominate from Day 1.
• 🛶 Paul and West ( #21) and Outlaws ( #20) remain strong in 2nd and 3rd overall.
• Get a Dog Up Ya ( #5) and Hi Mom! ( #6) round out the top 5 holding their spot as second and third Kayak.

🔼 Climbing the Ranks:
• Boomtown Boys ( #9) jumped 2 spots today — up from 15th on Day 1 to 9th now!
• Norfolk and Chance ( #16) and Kudu ( #15) each gained 1 place.
• The Little Duckers ( #8) also moved up one spot to 7th.

🔻 Sliding Back:
• TrailTeam.pl ( #11) and Maki Magoo ( #7) each dropped 2 places.
• Hai Voltage ( #13) and Your Other Left ( #12) slipped 1 spot.

📉 Consistent Decline:
• Bristol Train ( #2) has steadily dropped from 11th on Day 1 to 18th — now the tailing kayak. We have on good authority that it is their 28th wedding anniversary, so perhaps taking it easy for the day, congrats 💒🤵👰💍
• Maki Magoo ( #7) has also trended downward from 13th to 17th.

📈 Steady Climbers:
• Coureurs des Boys ( #18) made a strong early push from 12th to 6th and are holding firm.
• Dark Horse ( #17) has climbed from 14th to 10th and remains consistent.

As teams head into the wilds of Alaska and the Arctic Circle, the flats await — a notoriously tough stretch. Expect more shake-ups ahead! 🌲💨

📊 Yukon 1000 – Leaderboard Update & Race Analysis 🚣‍♂️

The front of the pack remains rock solid — no changes in overall placements from 1st to 5th. These teams are holding their ground with impressive consistency. 💪

🔼 Notable upward moves today from:
• Coureurs des Boys ( #18)
• Norfolk in Chance ( #16)
Both teams have climbed three places — strong paddling from both crews! 🛶🔥

🔻 On the flip side, two kayak teams have taken a hit:
• Bristol Train ( #2)
• 4 Horsemen ( #1)
They’ve dropped 5 and 4 places respectively, now trailing the kayak class. Still time to turn it around!

⏱️ A reminder: all teams must reach Dawson City by 6 PM (PST) and satisfy the Race Director that they can make the overall race cutoff. For those in the tailing pack, every minute counts now. It’s time to dig deep and push hard. 💥

We’re hoping for fair winds and strong spirits for these incredible athletes who’ve come so far. 🌬️💙

🛌 Rest well, travellers — the real fun is just beginning.

📣 Leaderboard Update – Day 2 Placement Shifts 🚣‍♂️

As expected, the Kiwis 🇳🇿 — Best Foot Forward ( #4) — have held their clear lead. Must be something in the water in New Zealand, team Get a Dog Up Ya ( #5), another team of Kiwis from have nudged out Hi Mom ( #6) to take 2nd place Kayak. 🐾💥

In the canoe class, Paul and West ( #21) have nudged ahead of Outlaws ( #20) to take 1st place Canoe. A strong move from a determined duo! 🛶

We’re seeing some shake-ups in the middle of the pack too. While it’s still early to read too much into it, a few notable shifts - 🔻 Maki Magoo ( #7) and 4 Horsemen ( #1) have each dropped 4–5 places on the leaderboard. 🔼 On the flip side, Dark Horse ( #17) — living up to their name with some serious grit — and Coureurs des Boys ( #18) have both jumped up three spots in the canoe class. 💪

📊 DAY 1 - LEADERBOARD 🚣‍♂️

The team from 🇳🇿 New Zealand has made a bold move, setting their sights on last year’s fastest kayak title. Best Foot Forward ( #4) absolutely blasted through Day 1 — an incredible start! But can they keep up that blistering pace? ⏱️💨

🌊 We’re keeping a close eye on Team Untapped ( #3), who took an unexpected swim in the rougher waters of Lake Laberge. It’s a tough moment early in the race, and we’re hoping it’s not a race-ending blow. 💔

The race is heating up, and there’s still a long way to go! Have a listen to the Race Directors updates for a more detailed account.
