Do you have what it takes to touch the sky at 13,700 feet? 🚴♂️🔥
Thursday we conquered an epic 135km journey from Puembo to the majestic Laguna de la Mica, nestled on the slopes of the Antisana Volcano. This is the kind of route that separates the enthusiasts from the true legends of the pedal.
📍 The Giant’s Path:
We rolled out with grit, crossing into Píntag for the ultimate local tradition: a mandatory pit stop for the famous “Carlitos.” 🥯☕ There’s no better fuel for a cyclist than these local treats before facing the toughest ascent of the day.
From there, the real challenge began. The climb toward La Mica took us into a wild paramo landscape where the air gets thin, but the views make every drop of sweat worth it. Reaching the summit at 4,200 meters (13,780 ft) is a bucket-list experience that every serious rider needs to experience at least once.
Riding at this level requires professional backup:
✅ High-Altitude Support: At 4,200m, the weather can shift in minutes. Our team ensures you’re never caught in the cold and never run out of hydration.
✅ Safe Descent: Dropping back down from the paramo is fast and technical; our es**rt vehicle protects you through every hairpin turn.
✅ The Full Experience: From mechanical support to knowing exactly where to find the best local eats, we handle the logistics so you can handle the climb.
