Sosua Boxing & Fitness with Hazakyah Update:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce and thank my colleagues and co-directors at Metamorphosis (www.GrowthChangeAction.net) for their key roles in producing one of the most significant boxing events in North Coast Dominican boxing history.
For seven years now, Michal Rosenbaum (based in Israel), Kimberly Thomas (based in Canada), and I (based in Dominican Republic) have been working quietly behind the scenes to support, improve, and expand North Coast boxing infrastructure, and to elevate boxing training and competition opportunities here on the North Coast.
On Saturday, 16 October 2021, North Coast Dominican boxing reached a new plateau as Jose & Torres Professional Boxing Promotions was able to host its most successful boxing event to date, by plugging into and relying on, the infrastructure we created and made available to him.

Metamorphosis is an international group of multi-talented artists and spiritually-connected people with a withering list of degrees, certifications and experiences we can add after our names. We are committed to higher thoughts, energies, vibrations, frequencies, dimensions, and experiences.
The seeds and the foundation of who we are now as a group were planted in Israel’s Negev Desert in the early 2000s.
Our first major project was elevating the iconic Masada Street artists community of Israel’s second largest city Haifa.

From there we went to Germany and supported the Occupy Wall Street movement.

From there we went to support Oakwood Retreat Center in Muncie, Indiana, USA.

And finally, from the USA we came to the Dominican Republic where we support education and boxing.
In education we have worked with both Garden Kids International School of Sosua, and ISLA Academy of Cabarete.

In the world of Dominican boxing, Metamorphosis has been blessed to...
• buy uniforms for and support the Sosua Boxing Club;
• secure boxing-gear donations from Laurence DC Covington of Hempstead Boxing in New York city, and Lester Jackson (retired pro boxer from New York City) for the Montellano Boxing Club;
• be the first to integrate non-Dominicans into the Puerto Plata (PP) Amateur Boxing Association;
• be co-promoters on some of the most exciting and significant North Coast boxing events;
• have been given the responsibility to integrate the city of Cabarete into the PP Amateur Boxing Association; and
• have one of our directors earn the right to be the assistant coach of the official Sosua Boxing Club, and the reigning boxing champion of the City of Sosua.
Metamorphosis is based in Israel and our holistic center there has been in operation for years. Our focus in Israel has been on spiritual matters, the arts, education, and social justice. Metamorphosis recently purchased land in the Sosua area, and we are currently developing a holistic health center on the site.
Looking ahead to 2022, we expect to be able to do much more for our beloved Dominican family. Stay tuned!
