One of the best parts of diving is finding the tiny things most people swim right past.

While exploring the sandy bottom, we spotted this tiny creature seemingly skipping across the sand. Our best guess is a baby octopus, but we’re curious what you think!

The ocean is full of surprises, and sometimes the smallest creatures create the biggest excitement.

Spotted snake eel 👀🐍

Most of the time, only the head is visible above the sand while the rest of the eel stays completely buried below the surface. These eels use camouflage and patience to stay hidden while watching for small fish and crustaceans to pass by.

A quiet little Puntilla encounter that many divers swim right past without ever noticing. 🌊

Lionfish threaten Caribbean reefs, so every one removed makes a difference. If the catch is big enough, Ricky may clean them on the ride back before taking them to a local restaurant to be cooked fresh.

Usually incredibly shy… but this scrawled filefish was completely relaxed with us on our night dive 🌙🐟

One of the coolest parts of night diving is seeing reef creatures behave differently after dark. Instead of disappearing into the reef, this guy calmly cruised around while we watched in awe.

The amount of garbage we collected last year that ended up in our oceans due to improper disposal.
