Dominica Olympic Academy

Dominica Olympic Academy Check back for updates on the National Youth Role Model Program! The DOA's current project is the first-of-its-kind National Youth Role Model Program (NYRM).

The DOA is the branch of the Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) responsible for promoting the ideas of Olympism and encouraging positive youth development through sport in Dominica. The island is divided into 12 districts, each of which is led by its own 5-member District Olympic Academy board. For the first ever pool of Youth Role Models, 12 exemplary student athletes are to be selected by the lead

ers of each district. These Potential Youth Role Models will partake in the training on June 16th and July 1st. Becoming an official Youth Role Model earns students the opportunity to receive a scholarship from the DOC in November based on their ability to uphold the values of a model student-athlete including sportsmanship, good behavior, academic excellence, and community service. The success and sustainability of this program will contribute to the healthy development of Dominica's youth and elevate the sporting culture throughout the Nation.
