From the sand to the court, volleyball continues to soar! 🏐🏆
We are incredibly proud to announce that the Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association has been named National Association of the Year at the National Sports Awards held last Saturday, recognizing the tremendous achievements of our sport throughout 2025.
Our national teams represented Dominica with distinction on the regional stage, delivering exceptional results:
🥇 ECVA U21 Men’s Beach Championships – Gold
🥉 ECVA U21 Women’s Beach Championships – Bronze
🏐 ECVA Senior Men’s Beach Championships – 4th & 5th Place
🥉 ECVA Men’s Final Four – Bronze
🥇 ECVA U23 Men’s Indoor Championships – Gold
Congratulations also to Julian “Johnny” Seraphine on being named Official/Referee of the Year. This well-deserved award is a testament to his hard work, professionalism and commitment to excellence over many years. In 2025, Johnny officiated at several prestigious international beach volleyball events, including the ECVA Senior Championships, ECVA U21 Championships, FISU World University Games and the FIVB U21 World Championships.
We also extend heartfelt congratulations to Adicia Burton on being crowned Female Volleyball MVP and Bill Clarke Frederick on winning Male Volleyball MVP as well as being nominated for Sportsman of the Year. Congratulations also go to Club One on earning nominations for Club of the Year. Your achievements continue to inspire and elevate the standard of volleyball in Dominica.
