After forcing a deciding Game 3, Club One Women will look to make it two wins in a row against defending champions Acers and book their spot in the KFC National Volleyball League Finals! 🏐🏆

Acers, meanwhile, will be looking to overcome their stumble, bounce back, and continue their title defense.

The winner will advance to the Final, where they’ll face Sunrise for the championship! 👀🔥

🏐 FOUR TEAMS HAVE BOOKED THEIR SPOTS IN THE FINALS! 🏆🔥

The KFC National Volleyball League semifinals delivered another weekend of drama, comebacks and five-set thrillers as teams battled for their place in the championship finals!

🔥 SATURDAY

Division 2: R&D Academy kept their finals hopes alive with an exciting 3–2 victory over Club One A in a thrilling five-set battle.

Women: Sunrise surged into the finals with a commanding 3–1 victory over Celtics. 🌅💪

Division 1: After missing out on the finals for the past two seasons, Young Vets finally broke through, taking an electrifying 3–2 victory over Sunrise to close out the night! 🔥

💥 SUNDAY

Division 2: Club One B overcame Portsmouth Breakerz 3–1 to punch their ticket to the finals. 🎟️

Women: Club One Women stunned defending champions Acers with a dramatic 3–2 victory, keeping their finals hopes alive! 😮‍💨🔥

🏐🔥 SEMIFINALS DELIVER THE DRAMA! 🔥🏐

The KFC National Volleyball League Semifinals served up a week of commanding performances, stunning comebacks, and five-set thrillers! 💥

TUESDAY
🌅 Sunrise Women continued their dominant run with a clinical 3–0 victory over Celtics, putting themselves firmly in the driver’s seat.

💪 In Men’s Division 1, Young Vets showed serious fight, bouncing back from a first-set loss to defeat Sunrise and claim a hard-fought victory.

WEDNESDAY
🔥 It was a thriller from start to finish as R&D Academy erased a two-set deficit against Club One A, forcing a deciding fifth set. But Club One A held their nerve to secure the 3–2 victory in dramatic fashion!

THURSDAY
👑 The defending champions Acers continued their title defence, getting past Club One Women in straight sets with a composed 3–0 victory.

⚔️ And the week closed with another five-set classic! Club One and R&D Academy battled toe-to-toe in Men’s Division 1, with Club One ultimately emerging victorious 3–2.

The semifinals are heating up, and the road to the championship is getting tighter! 🔥🏆

Over the past few weeks, R&D Academy hosted a Volleyball Summer Camp aimed at young players aged 14 and over, providing them with an opportunity to develop their skills, learn the fundamentals of the sport, and build confidence on the court.

Leading the camp was Coach David Toussaint, who shared his years of experience and knowledge with the next generation of volleyball players. Through focused training, drills, and practical sessions, participants were challenged to improve their technique while developing a deeper understanding and appreciation for the game.

Camps like these are an important part of nurturing young talent and creating a strong foundation for the continued growth and development of volleyball in Dominica.

Well done to R&D Academy, Coach David Toussaint, and all the athletes who took part.

Building Our Coaching Capacity

The Dominica Amateur Volleyball Association is pleased to announce that two Dominicans, Jaleel Lewis and Adicia Burton, are currently in the British Virgin Islands participating in an FIVB Level 1 Coaches Course.

Jaleel and Adicia were selected in recognition of their continued commitment to the development of volleyball in Dominica. Their dedication and experience place them in a strong position to help expand coaching capacity and develop the sport in areas of the island that require additional coaching expertise.

The course runs from August 17–21, and we wish Jaleel and Adicia every success as they continue to enhance their knowledge and coaching skills.

Congratulations to our newest ECVA National Volleyball Referees!

A huge congratulations to Don Gordon, Lisa James, and Richard Wilson on successfully completing the ECVA National Volleyball Referees Course in the British Virgin Islands.

After successfully passing the theoretical portion of the course, the trio put their knowledge into practice on the court, officiating matches at the 2026 ECVA Senior Championships as part of the practical component.

Their successful completion of the course is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the continued development of volleyball.

We are proud of their achievement and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and excel as referees.
