Set the standard. The Aspirers Athletics Athletic Club (A.A.C) formerly operated under the name, Portsmouth Amateur Athletics Club (P.A.A.C).

The P.A.A.C was established in 1992 by Andy Burkard & Chris Roserens from Switzerland with a small but dedicated group of athletes in the Portsmouth area. After a motion moved by new members on 1st August 2011, the decision was taken to change the club's name to Aspirers. The name change is aimed at giving a greater sense of identification to our members who reside outside of the Portsmouth constituency. The club operates under the motto "Setting the Standard" and is open to all athletesโ€™ from age seven years and above.

The Aspirers Athletic Club always look forward to the Dominica Athletics Association Incorporated road race series. The series are used to enhance the development of a strong off season foundation for the athletes. All runners, jumpers, and throwers will compete!

Dr. Falixius Leslie and Dr. Merf Leslie past athletes of the Aspirers Athletic Club, have answered the call to assist with one month gym fees at the Jolly's Pharmacy.

These doctors who offer priority health medical services, are now coming forward to put that priority seal on the development of our Aspiring athletes. We extend our sincerest gratitude to these two doctors, and trust this will encourage others to assist with the continuity of the Aspirers gym program until we are able to build our own.
