🏆Champions League - ToT🏆

Last but definitely not least* - we had 3 Cudas represented in the Champions League "Team of the Tournament", made up of the top representatives from each club.

and were all over the ground, showing quick-thinking, ball awareness, toughness, and great footy skills throughout
thaning provided the emotional spark that the men's team needed at crucial points throughout the weekend, not just through his own big plays, but through vocal leadership of others as well. He also scored a ton of goals, which helps.

While we believe that the real Team of the Tournament should be entirely made up of Cudas, we could not be better represented than by these 3!

🏆Champions League - Men's 🏆

The Men's side of the club had a fantastic showing in Lyon, going 3-2 on the day with our only losses coming from the 2022 champions Amsterdam Devils and the (now 3x) reigning champions, the Wandsworth Demons. We came out in 8th place - much better than our initial seeding and we're confident that moving forward, we can hang with the best out there. Now onto the DAFL!

🏆 Champions League - Women 🏆

For the first time in Cudas history, we sent a women's team to Champions League, and they absolutely crushed it. With 3 wins against 2 losses (with both losses to the top 2 seeds of the tournament, and one by less than a goal), they capitalized on what has been a tremendous year of growth and momentum for the women's side. Cudas women placed 6th overall, and are hungry for more competition in 2026-27!

Auskick comes to Copenhagen!

The DAFL has begun an initiative near and dear to the hearts of many Aussies - Auskick gives kids 5-12 years of age the opportunity to learn footy, meet new friends, and have fun! Best part (besides the footy, friends, and fun) is that it's completely free!

Your own Copenhagen Barracudas will be hosting sessions on our home pitch on May 9 and 23, and June 6, 20, and 27. See the flyer for more details!

🚨 MAJOR CUDAS ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

For the first time ever, the Copenhagen Barracudas are sending both a men's and women's team to the annual Champions League tournament for AFL Europe. We're honored (and extremely excited) to represent Denmark against the best that the rest of Europe has to offer, and to be able to do so as a full club is even better. This is our first time sending our women's team, which is a huge testament to how much work and success the ladies have achieved over the past year. Go get 'em, Cudas!

Happy international women’s day! Thank you to all the women who keep our club going; the players, the board members, the partners, the mothers and the supporters ❤️💛💙

Female players now account for 30% of AFL players in Europe. Closer to home, our women’s team has grown from strength to strength in just a few short years, bringing home their first silverware in 2025 and now attending their first Champions League this April. We have seen our first female DAFL president voted in 2025, and first female Cudas president in 2026.

We can’t wait to see what else our women achieve this year. To all women in sports out there, thank you!

Best of luck to Hannah, Bente, Sam and Gabriela who are representing the Cudas at the Gallia cup in Paris tomorrow! They will be joining with in a bid to defend our reigning title. We’ll be cheering you on from here!

Before we announce the 2026 Cudas board, we want to say a huge thank you to our outgoing 2025 board. A lot of work goes into running the club behind the scenes, we couldn’t have had such a successful season without the backstage crew. Thanks to Jack, Georgie, Meyke, Sabhín, Jas and Thomas for a fantastic year! Also thanks to the Cudas serving on the DAFL board, Jenna, Meyke and Scotty.
