Långholmen island was once home to one of Stockholm’s main prisons, operating on the island for generations before closing in 1975.

Years later, football became part of the island’s story. In 2002, a small group of players began meeting on the old gravel pitch here every Saturday. Those casual games eventually became Långholmen FC
