It’s our last day on Jeju island, and Korean Open has been a really educational experience. It was a great opportunity for us to prepare ourselves for the world championships in Taiwan, that most of us has been chosen to represent Denmark at. 💪🇩🇰❤️

Second day in Korea!
We are enjoying the food here, and are trying to adapt to the hot weather. We have had our first trainings in Korea today and are starting to feel ready for Jeju Korean Open 🙂

After a very long and way too complicated boarding in Copenhagen airport and a 15 hour journey, Herlev Taekwondos poomsae team (and our friend from Vejle), has finally crossed the Korean border, and are looking forward to 3 weeks of training and korean open at Jeju Island! 💪

The last 2 weekends, the poomsae team from Herlev Taekwondo have been competing at first Danish Open, and then at Austrian Open.

At Danish open, our team became the most winning team out of 30 other teams! Herlev poomsae endes up with:
9 gold medals 🥇
2 silver medals 🥈
1 bronze medal 🥉
Everyone that competed took some metal home with them, and the competition was a great succes for our team! 🔥

At Austrian Open our team participated with 4 athletes. The competition was tough, with competitors from all over the world. Some of which coming from places like Australia , Mexico and Peru. Despite of that, the team still managed to win 4 medals home with them.
2 gold medals 🥇
1 silver medal 🥈
1 bronze medal 🥉
The level of the competition was high, and it was good preperation for the upcoming World Championships, in which Herlev Taekwondo hopes to be participating with multiple athletes. ⭐️🥋

Som afslutning på en vellykket træningslejr var teknikholdet ude og gå i herlevs gader for, at sælge støtteplakater.
Vi vil gerne sige en kæmpe stor tak til de mange forretninger, som har købt vores plakater og derved støttet alle talenterne på holdet!

☀️Last week, three athletes from Herlev taekwondos poomsae team participated at the World Taekwondo Beach Championships.
The competition took place on the small Island of Rhodes in Greece. Herlev Taekwondos team took 5 medals back home with them. 🏅
Annaline Faye Soeberg proved her worth by winning one gold medal in the team category, a silver medal in her individual and gold medal in her pair with Benjamin Hellegaard Harder, whom also got a bronze medal in his individual group, once again confirming that they are of world class. 💪
Mathias Laursen had to go home without any medals this time, after barely being beaten twice by the Thailand team, in the quarter finals of his individual and pair group.
It has been a great experience for all of them, and they will now be working even harder towards their next goals.
