Late summer is making its mark on the Danish coasts.
Today I couldn’t wait any longer and even though the water is still warm, the withdrawal symptoms were too great. had to take a trip out and dip a fly.
High tide had just peaked, and at this spot the visiting time is short. So I quickly came down to a reef I know by heart.
There were plenty of sea trout and I experienced some fantastic fishing.
Nice to feel my Zpey Alpha again.

Happy moments late summer.

De tre siste dagene har jeg vært så heldig å få et par fisketimer på morgenkvisten. Både sjøørret og laks lot seg lokke. Jeg har sett laks som hoppet og fisk som svømte i stor fart oppover ådalen. Et par råvilt har jeg komme litt for nær.
Zpey zpin 9,5’ 5-19 gram, som er en super “lækker” spinnestang fikk kjørt seg godt da storlaksen hugg til.

Perfekt stang til de mindre vannløp, og styrke nok til å håndtere de helt store fisk.

FINNMARK 2024

The first day after we have set up our camps and started to fish was probably most exciting and same way confusing in a high note.
The river looked so beautiful, but very unfamiliar - we didn’t know the pools and salmon holding spots - so I would say we were “running” back and forth trying to find those places. But after seeing some fish jumping and after having a chat with other anglers we finally defined some spots and started to fish.
To be honest, I had no big expectations of hooking a salmon first day due to the all reasons I have mentioned above, but we were full of energy and eager to fish so we just kept going and we even haven’t noticed how we spend whole “polar night” and something like 12-14hrs on the water and actually we have managed to catch some fish and to loose some - so before heading to the tent for a sleep it really felt like I am in the ninth heaven and was looking so much more for the upcoming adventure.

The endorphins were running all over my exhausted but happy body.
