Who wants to get Rugby League going again in Denmark? We haven't had any activity since Covid, so it's time to take a decision... either a group of us get things up and running again, or we let it go and accept that Rugby League isn't going to get any traction right now in Denmark. Firstly we need people who want to play the game. Secondly, we need people who are willing to help out by e.g. joining the board and organising match days etc. If you're interested in either/both then please let us know in this discussion thread, so we can gauge interest. Make sure you specify if you're interested in playing, or in helping with organising, or both.

Hey everyone, please take 3 minutes and the change from your pocket to support this great effort.

Two good friends of Denmark Rugby League have been struck by Myeloma - an, as yet, incurable form of cancer.

Simon Cooper has come over to DK from Germany, at his own expense, numerous times to ref matches for us, and Mark Jones has been helping us build our coaching capacities over the past few years.

Mark is currently in isolation in hospital undergoing a stem cell transplant. Whilst in there he is doing a virtual paddle of the 1400km coast of Wales, using a hand bike to clock up the miles.

If just half the people involved in Denmark Rugby League donated just the price of one beer each, then that would be a great way to say thanks to these two, who have done so much to help us.

Come on - "season of goodwill" and all that :-)

Not nearly enough have responded to our membership drive. So at the moment it doesn't look like we will arrange any internationals this year. We will extend the deadline until Tuesday of next week so if you want us to start arranging international fixtures again, then you need to sign up and get mates and other players to sign up too. We need 30 paid up members before we arrange new fixtures. DRL membership costs 100dkk for the year. You can mobilepay Rich Naylor on 29910976 or you can pay it directly into the DRL account: Reg:8401 Konto:1163973. N.B. Paying your membership is not conditional on us getting the games. If e.g. only 20 people pay, then we won't organise the games and those 20 people do not get their membership refunded.

One of the (many) stars of our Nordic Cup winning team of 2014 is doing really well back in Canada where he has spent most of his time since the age of six. Well done Emil :-)

Match Officials' course!!!
DRL will be holding a match officials course at Frederiksberg Rugby club (Nandrupsvej) Saturday the 10th November between 13.00 and 17.00. Come for the whole course and qualify as a match official, or just improve your understanding of Rugby League. Even if you can't make the whole course, come along from 16.00 to 17.00 - we need as many people as possible to play a "practice game", so the refs who are training can have something to ref. Participation is free and rumor has it there will be some beers and pizzas provided ;-)
