Why Qwan Ki Do doesn’t train children for “short-term fame,” but for a lifetime?
Lately, I have been seeing a dangerous trap in the world of sports: training styles focused on heavy hits to the head and body. While this approach gives a temporary illusion of power and builds a massive ego, making a child feel invincible, the long-term price is simply too high.
As an instructor, I have chosen a different path. Qwan Ki Do is not about destroying the body for a medal. It is about building it up.
Here is what we actually focus on during our training sessions:
🧠 Developing intellect and resilience
By learning technical movements, terminology, and Quyen (forms), children train their memory, coordination, and mental discipline—not just their muscles.
🌱 A gradual and safe approach
Fighting capacity and physical conditioning are introduced step-by-step. We want our students to build self-defense skills harmoniously, ensuring they remain agile, mobile, and healthy well into their 40s and beyond.
❌ Zero hidden trauma
We have no interest in teaching children or juniors to strike the head with full force. Repeated impacts can cause long-term brain trauma, memory loss, and severe physical issues. We refuse to arrange matches at the expense of our students’ health. Doing so would make us accomplices in their long-term harm.
A great martial artist is not someone who just throws and takes punches until their body breaks down. A true martial artist knows how to defend themselves, keeps a clear mind, and remains healthy and capable for life, society, and their future family.
If anyone wants immediate, harsh results through “short-term hardening” that causes long-term damage... they can find that elsewhere. But not here!

From May 20th to 22nd , Denmark was proudly represented by 5 athletes at the Qwan Ki Do World Championship in Bucharest.

Qwan Ki Do is a martial art with roots in Vietnam and China.

Our incredible athletes are bringing home 5 bronze medals in the Black Belt 1st Dang categories, and for the second time a World Championship title won by Vo Su Carmen! 🏆
As the head instructor of the team at Qwan Ki Do Denmark .

I am immensely proud of my students and their incredible efforts.
It was not an easy path to walk, but we represented Denmark with honor, and our results prove it! 🇩🇰🎉

Our Official Results:

🥉 Huan Su Casper (Black Belt 1st Dang)

(Weapons) : 🥉 Casper & Uffe (Black Belt 1st Dang)

(Sparring): 🥉 Casper & Iulian (Black Belt & Black Belt 1st Dang)
