How to find Grotten?

Enter Gydehutten N entrance, follow the corridor right past Studenterservice and take the first glass door on your right hand, take the stairs down and you have reached Grotten. If you are not sure you will be able to find it, simply contact us on facebook and we will pick you uo at Studenterservice

Can I try it out a few times?

Yes, we welcome new students the first month of every semester, so if you are interested come join us in February or September. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Do I have to fight?

No. Sparring and fighting is not the main goal of Taekwondo. However, many students come to like sparring in time, and we have a friendly atmosphere where we focus on helping each other evolve.

I have trained Taekwondo before, can I bring my belt?

Definitely. However, it depends on you. We have students on different levels and also many students who have practiced in a various amount of Dojangs before.

I am new, it sounds interesting but I’m afraid it’s to difficult and I’m a bit shy.

Don’t worry. We all started there. In SDU Taekwondo we mainly focus on friendships and good health trough exercise.

What is the price?

Our membership fee is 250 kr. per semester.

Kicks and punches have been uniting students across studies and nationalities in SDU Taekwondo since January 2013.

Even though martial arts can seem aggressive and violent to some people, it is actually quite peaceful. Taekwondo is a martial art originating from South Korea and to make a long story short, the philosophy behind the sport is called “Budo”, meaning “the peacefull way of the warrior” (more or less). It means that we respect each other and care for each other alongside fighting each other.

The members of the club are widely represented. There are new members who have never tried martial arts before, old members who have had a break for a shorter og longer period of time and there are members who have always been training martial arts. It creates a special environment where it is possible to learn from, and with each other.

We train mondays and wednesdays from 17-19 at Grotten, and welcome new students the first month of every semester. So feel free to come join us and give taekwondo a try in february or september💪. Let us know when you would like join a training and we will be happy to come pick you up by the Studenterservice at SDU😃.
