The Second Turning Point
With Nordic Storms arrival, and the toughest players out of the league, we made a bold decision to allow our players from age 17, to step up into the senior squad and gain real playing time, bringing down our average age to just 22 years old.
As the games kicked off, our Danish guys showed grit, heart, and loyalty, competing fiercely for each other. Epic battles against the Tigers, Aalborg, and Towers proved one thing: not only could we compete, but we were also having fun doing it.
Meanwhile, the junior tournaments began. Strong collaborations with Kronborg Knights and Holbæk Red Devils laid the groundwork for the future.
For the first time, the whole club was moving in synergy:
✅ Senior players with European experience training the youth on a regular basis
✅ Senior players refereeing youth games
✅ Juniors and their families contributing to senior gamedays
The result? Successful home games with enough volunteers, less panic, and a better atmosphere for everyone.
Off the field, optimism grew too:
🌱 Positive talks with past and future partners
🌱 Exciting volunteer initiatives in the local community - Holte Loppemarked, Holtedagen, and Hop&Rock - bringing visibility and connecting with future generations
🌱 First steps toward integrating international players: A couple of Europeans arriving without contracts, paying their own way, no guaranteed playing time, coaching youth, finding jobs through our network, and starting to build a better future
The pieces were beginning to click. A young team, a club in synergy, and a community starting to believe again.
But the real breakthrough was still to come…
