Orient’s hockey weekend kicked off with the U16 boys’ national team training. Our men’s coach, Christian Sandby-Møller, was on the road Friday preparing the boys for the European Championship in a few weeks.

Our women’s coach, Casper Guldbrandsen, is also busy these days. As Match Manager, Casper is overseeing games at the FIH Hockey Pro League in Belgium.

Our U12/U14 coach, Lynn Kaddatz, took on the role of chauffeur, driving our kids on Saturday to rainy Valby and on Sunday to sunny Kalundborg.

On Saturday, our U12 joint team with Kalundborg dominated the day, first securing an 8–0 win against Slagelse and then a 14–1 victory against Gentofte/KH. A perfect end to the season, rewarded with a silver medal. Thanks to Kalundborg and their two coaches for a fantastic season together.

On Sunday in Kalundborg, two U14 matches with our joint team Orient/Sørby were on the schedule. The first game ended in a 1–4 loss against a fast-paced team from Hørning. After a short break, we faced a hard-fighting Kalundborg team. With strong effort and a bit more luck in front of goal, we secured a 2–0 win. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for a medal, but we still finish the season on a positive note and look forward to continuing the collaboration after the summer holidays.

Weekend update from our Lyngby players and coaches!

8-2 win against Sørbymagle-KHK for our ladies team 💪🏽 A beautiful demonstration of their will power and level. Laura Larsen aiming for top scorer with 4 goals, followed by Anita Pacheco with 3 and to close it all Ines Charles! Great effort from the whole team, looking forward to the last match of the season 🙌🏽🏑🇩🇰

Coach, manager and physio appreciation post 🙌🏽

6 days with 18 women means lots of laundry, snacks and reminders to hydrate, gratefully we have the best three that have been taking care of us so we can focus only on hockey.
We are very grateful for their effort and hard work, whitout them this wouldnt be possible.
