Experiences like these are exactly why we love creating opportunities for young people. Vorup FB, B12, won participation in this year’s Dana Cup through our competition together with NORMAL and they have now sent us this message ✅

“We would like to thank NORMAL for giving us this amazing experience, which was so much fun. It was great to play against teams from abroad and not only from Denmark 🎯

We have made lots of new friends, especially from South Africa, Malta and we are still chatting with them in a group chat. We hope to participate again next year and our parents have already started saving up 💥

We are also selling socks and goal shares to raise money so we can come back and give others the chance to have the same fantastic experience. Thank you once again, NORMAL” 🤘🏼

Through Bambusa’s support, Team Q got the chance to experience an unforgettable week at Dana Cup filled with football, friendships, laughter, international matches and memories for life 💯 😀

The girls gave it their all and proudly secured a fantastic 3rd place but the biggest victory was the community and experiences they shared together 🙏🏽

Nord Energi Arena - home of the Dana Cup finals will showcase UEFA Europa Cup football tonight when our organizing club Fortuna Hjørring take on HNK Hajduk Split 🇩🇰 🇭🇷 in the first qualifying round - 2nd leg game 💥

The first game in Croatia ended 0-2 to Fortuna 💚

Still flying high after an incredible Dana Cup 2026 💥

931 teams from 53 nations came together in Hjørring for a week filled with passion, friendship, respect, inclusion and unforgettable football. We witnessed dreams come true, friendships across borders and memories that will last a lifetime ⭐️

Managed the buses for more than 40 years 🚍

Over the years, Dana Cup has been fortunate to rely on dedicated people who stepped in whenever the large international youth football tournament in Hjørring welcomed thousands of young footballers from around the world 🌏

For more than 40 years, husband and wife Dorte and Jørgen Nielsen managed the many buses that were called in to transport players and team officials from airports, ferry terminals and railway stations to Hjørring, as well as to transport all Dana Cup participants between schools, dining halls and the football pitches ✅

For many years, the couple lived in Hjørring and they continued their commitment even after moving to Hillerød 💯

From their home, they planned and coordinated the transportation and when they travelled to Hjørring ahead of the Dana Cup each year, it was to ensure that their plans were carried out successfully. They were on duty around the clock ⏰

Ahead of the weekend, Dana Cup Director Jette Andersen travelled to Hillerød to meet Dorte and Jørgen Nielsen 😀

Their contribution has been recognised with an honorary membership with the Dana Cup. Jette Andersen presented them with their honorary diploma and a silver pin 🙏🏽

There was also an extra gift, as Dorte and Jørgen recently received a letter from His Majesty the King reminding them that on Monday the 17th of August, they celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary ❤️
