January 2022

After a few months break, we are now finally up and riding again.

Unfortunately I suffered an ankle injury and have not been able to ride until now, so Katie's winter break was just 5 weeks longer than planned.

However, Katie will be in our breeding program this year, so she will not be trained for competition, but we will just maintain the exercises and ride a lot of trail rides so she is in good condition for foaling next year.

Katie did so well in the weekend when we went to the Show4Fun 2021 this was our final show for this year.

In that regard, I would like to thank Little Creek Western Outfitter St. Hippolyt Danmark Danish Agro Shoppen EquiScout - Rideudstyr Nathalie Horse Care VET v/Louise Laustesen for the great sponsorship gifts!

Thank you to all the helpers without you there would be no show and thanks to Fyns Western Club for arranging this great event.

We ended up as All-Around Champion - Open

Now Katie will have a well-deserved break from show riding, and for the next few months I will only do trail ride to set her free from the arena work.

We look forward to next years challenges.

August 2021

This weekend we went to Tvedegården for a small training show with Dorthe Menk (Germany) as judge.

Katie did a very good job and we learned from our mistakes, however we ended up as All Around winner of the day and we have got a lot of good feedback and advise we will have to work on.

Danish Paint Horse Championship 2021

Katie 2 x Danish Champion 🏆🏆 WOW it is our absolute best result to date.

A long but amazing weekend is over and Katie and I did the best we could and I am so happy with the great results.

This is our first year showing in one hand and with lope in the classes, and it was also obviously that we lacked a show experience after a longer Covid-19 break. However it was great to get out for a real show again and meet and talk to a lot of wonderful western people.

I have only achieved these great results because I have a coach who challenges me and believes in us so a big thanks to my coach. Emilie Bendix /TRUE Performers.

A HUGE THANKS to my lovely daughter who has been my helper throughout the show - running to the barn and arena each time I need something this is a great and invaluable help. She also participated with Katie in several All Breed classes with great results despite she have not been riding for the last 5 years!

June 2021!
Then there is almost 1 month until we have to leave for the Danish Paint Horse Championship 2021.

We are working with the preparations:

We are signed up for the show
I'm almost done with my new show clothes - I still need to put the last 100.000 rhinestones on the jacket 😀

I have unfortunately not had the opportunity to get out to more than a single small training show this spring so we unfortunately lack a lot of show experience after 1½ years of closure due to Covid-19 so I hope the best we have learned helps us through.

Katie is fortunately in good shape, free from injuries, however, with a little summer belly that we need to trim in, and then there are still exercises we do not quite have in place to work with and finally I miss a little connection that is needed that we are completely but we have to train and then we just have to do our best at the show

Today DKQHA held a Virtual live Show and Katie and I participated with great success in 3 classes 🤠💪🐴 this is also our first season on shank and one hand :-)

SMS Level 3 - 1 pl (score 81)
WHS Level 2 - 2 pl (score 72)
Ranch Riding level 2 - 1 pl (score 66½)

This means we have earned a sum of money (dkk 614,-) we are so grateful :-D

Thanks to my fantastic trainer Emilie Bendix / TRUE Performers for all your help which is the reason what we are today!!

Today we took some video of ranch riding this is for the virtuel DKQHA Show end of May that we are going to participate in.

We have done our best and look forward to see what score the judge will give and hopefully some critique to know what we have to work on!
