Sónur is a 2008 born 1st Prize stallion with outstanding tölt capabilities. The blue dun beauty is a son of the Honorary Prize stallion Sær frá Bakkakoti (9.05 for ridden abilities, sire of amongst others Arion frá Eystra-Fróðholti, Sjóður frá Kirkjubæ, Knár frá Ytra-Vallholti, and Konsert frá Korpu) and 1st Prize mare Þula frá Kálfhóli 2.
Sónur is evaluated with 8.37 in total with 8.52 for ridden abilities. He received 9 for tölt and general impression, and 8.5 for slow tölt, pace, gallop, canter, and spirit. He has naturally high movements with long strides, and great speed variation in all gaits.
Sónur is a willing stallion, eager to work, and the perfect horse for someone who is looking for an impressive, forward thinking, powerful, yet always controllable horse for competing and breeding. Due to his really good gaits and exceptionally terrific tölt, he is a high competitor for higher classes in sport, may it be T1, V1, and F1 - a real allrounder for the very top. 💪🏻
