At the US Open, the conditions are constantly changing. Afternoon heat gives way to matches under the lights, opponents adjust, pressure builds.
But one thing that shouldn’t change is the quality of the racquet in a player’s hands. That consistency starts with craftsmanship.
At our factory in Niigata Prefecture, we combine precision manufacturing with human skill. Expert hands cut and arrange the graphite sheets that form the frame. The direction of the fibers, their position in the layup and reinforcing pieces all influence how the finished racquet will play.
Each frame is then carefully molded, sanded and inspected. Even imperfections that cannot be seen with the naked eye are checked before a racquet moves forward.
There is a lot of care involved in making a racquet this way. Part of it comes from respect for the materials and the process, but also for the person who will eventually play with it.
