Hello,

Tomorrow there is a forró concert at Dronning Louises Bro at 16:00. Forró Bigode Fino will be playing.

After that, we have the workshop with Emilia at Kapelvej at 17:30. Emilia will also be at the concert, so if you want to dance with her before joining the workshop, come meet us at the bridge.

Then we have the social at Café Globen from 20:00.

On top of that, there is also a Brazilian party as part of Distortion. O Baile will be playing, and they usually play some smooth forró 💃🕺

So it will be a full day of forró. We hope to see many of you! 😊

Welcome to Forró!

Brazil has given the world many amazing dances beyond samba and forró is one of its true gems. 🤩Rooted in Northeastern Brazil, forró is a joyful and social partner dance that combines connection, rhythm, and playfulness.💃🕺

Forró is danced in pairs and can include everything from a close, gentle embrace to lively arm movements, turns, spins, and energetic variations. It is both fun and expressive, and it can be enjoyed at many different tempos and styles.✨

In this intro class, we will cover:
- the basic steps
- the rhythm and music
- the embrace/partner connection
- simple turns and movements

No prior dance experience is needed—beginners are very welcome. 🫶

We recommend changing partners during class, as dancing with different people is one of the best ways to develop your skills, improve your lead/follow communication, and become a more confident dancer. ✨You will also have the opportunity to try both leader and follower roles, if you would like.

Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.

We look forward to dancing with you!

20:00-20:30: Crash Course - a quick introduction to the basic steps
20:30: The dance floor is open for all with tones of forró music
01:00: The bar closes and the music stops
70 kr. Admission (with one drink included) 🍻
50 kr. Admission for members of Forró Copenhague (with one drink included)
