I work mostly with Functional Training and to help you reach your goals, whatever that may be! I've been a trainer since 2013, since then my main goal is to help people feel good. To be stronger, leaner, pain free, happy and independent. For all age groups, men and women, I want to help you reach your goal, whichever that may be! Have you ever heard the phrase "your workout is my warm up?" Quite cocky for someone to say that. But it could be true.
So when I program deload, I program considering the level of past weeks workouts. Meaning that if you do the workouts mainly as prescribed, and that intensity and volume is good for you, then the deload will also fit you well.
But if you've had to scale the workouts to fit your current fitness level, you also have to scale the deload programs.
It's all a matter of where are you in your fitness level. Make sure that this week feels easier, only do the workouts if it makes sense for you. If you need a few days completely off from training, this is it! Give yourself rest, but remember, it's only there so you can be ready to ATTACK in the upcoming weeks!

We tend to favor what we’re better at, but keep fighting on what you’re not good, so then it’s not a matter of liking what we’re best at, it’s just liking everything. Liking the grind, the hard work, and everything that you have conquered!

Are you an EVERYDAY ATHLETE?

I believe everyone should be an everyday athlete. (But then again, that is only my opinion because I like training a lot and don’t understand why others don’t). BUT, if you’re here, you are interested in improving your fitness, so I already consider you an EVERYDAY ATHLETE. Being ready for anything that life throws at you.

To be able to fight and come out successful in the everyday challenge of life. The biking to work, moving boxes from the basement, carrying kids, groceries and a dog all at the same time. But also to go on skiing trips, hiking, try out different activities and know that your body might come out sore, but it can take some beating. To be strong!

This is who I program for! General physical preparedness for the everyday athlete!

That being said, I LOVE competition, and I LOVE the new skills, heavy lifts, pushing limits. Sometimes I do that to myself, sometimes I just want to watch and help others do that themselves. And I LOVE to nerd out on how to improve fitness and be able to be competitive in whatever it is that you want to put yourself in.

WOD 2 this week has two versions, the EVERYDAY ATHLETE version and the FUNCTIONAL FITNESS ATHLETE version, where you will be testing out yourself in a few different movements, and gather data in order to, not only become fitter, but know how to best attack a workout and get the best result for that workout. So if you want to be competitive, I can help you out with that as well. You can definitely do Our Shared Training workouts, but that is just the start. It’s Sunday evening, a new work week is about to begin. How are you gonna go about it. Will you let emails, calls and other duties take your time away from what’s most important to you? I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, SCHEDULE IN YOUR WORKOUTS. Don’t allow the busy flow of life, take your precious time away, do what you want first, set that time for yourself, and you’ll be much happier at the other end of the week.

I believe in you, and so should you. Get out there and crush it!

And do tell me how workout #4 went. That’s definitely my favorite from this week!

WORKOUT EXPLANATION!
Written workouts look like another language to you? Yeah it does take some time to get used to EMOMs, AMRAPs, etc.
Besides understanding the language, there is also the intention of the workout. All of which a trainer would explain in a PT session or group class.

The new training block is here!!! 🤩💪🏽
I’m always excited about a new training block. That being said, you don’t need to start training at the start if a block, or on Monday or even worse, in January. 📅
You can start now! You can re-start things up on a Tuesday, or in the middle of October. Your body doesn’t care about day, week or month. 😉
Just do it! Start with 7000 steps a day, with 2 workouts a week, with the shoes you have or the exercises you know. 🚶🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🧘🏾‍♂️
That being said, if you’re looking to improve your health and fitness. Wether you’re just starting out, or ready to go to the next level. I can help you with that!
These workouts are a great starting place, but maybe you need scaling options. I got you covered! Or maybe you need something more specific? I got you there too! 🏋🏼🤸🏽‍♀️
