Have you ever ridden a prototype?
is building quite a diverse catalogue of bespoke bikes from gravel to tall to apocalypse, the depth of genres is great to see. This prototype has it all and then some.
🤜 V1 of my 32er built up for a day out at the factory open day. Put it next to the Tomo Longtail and it makes it look we**ie 😂😂.
Can’t wait to start testing this out.
It will get some custom fork and lots of bar stem options to make and try. I’ve tried some geometry so it should be able to run drop bars too. For the Brooks day it’s built up in UK manufacturer spec but have some kitchen sink bars and some that look like some Surly Corner bars (I liked the look of those but they hit the frame if the bars spin round so didn’t want the risk today).
Love the Brooks plump grips but with the metal ends another reason to use the Tomo alt bars.
The c17 Cambium saddles are so comfy. They’ve become my favourite perch of late. Couldn’t resist running the dinky Brooks leather tool pouch.

"It's what's on the inside that counts" Do you agree?
have a real appreciation for There's no shortcuts (no pun intended) with steel. You have to be precise and you have to have patience. The result is solid, repairable reliability with feeling. It's also what makes the Vysoko special with it's internal chain solution. Fantastic work and the headtube gussets are fire too.

Vysoko uses industrial duplex chain to transport torque from crankset to stainless steel pininion (chainring). This inside gear substitutes 32T chainring. Duplex chain has shorter pitch 8mm then classic cycle chain, which has 12.7mm ⚙️ 🤛

What better material is there for making triangle shapes than bamboo?
have a very high level of bamboo construction. You'll notice solid oval top "tubes". They use sliced giant bamboo, that's laminated. The chain stays etc. are shaped with a mould, and then glued-pressed. Steel lugs bring it all together nicely.

🤜 The Rodacilik has won awards. Gold Award Good Design Japan 2018. Small wheels make the dimensions of the bike smaller overall, with more agile movement. Even though the Rodacilik has small wheels, it has been used in events from Banda Aceh to Denpasar 3500km, then from Denpasar to Sumba. In addition, this bicycle has also been used in Paris Brest Paris 2023, a distance of 1200km.
It's been refined in the 2.0 series, with the chain stay section and removable seat stay. This construction makes shipping easy for buyers of frame sets that can be packaged flat-pack.

The name Spedagi LemPIT is taken from the word lempit, in which there is already the element "pit" which in Javanese and means bicycle. Although space in
society is still relatively available, foldable products save space and also makes it easier to move. Foldable and dismantled products (houses) traditional wooden construction that can be dismantled and reassembled) exist in traditional societies, they also have to be "precise" in order to be folded or disassembled. However, the level of precision is according to needs and generally they are not interchangeable with other product sets.

How's your workshop looking these days?
are taking the private route with this astounding home-workshop build. Nothing is compromised and I'm sure this will provide grins galore.

🤜 Well, here she is!
Not posted in a little while as I've been busy riding the thing, tinkering and life.
Overall, the thing rides damn well and I personally couldn't be more stoked for my first go at making a bike. I hate to say it, but the stand out feature for me is how well the thing climbs, I think I nailed the anti-squat value and seat tube angle.

I have just ordered some longer dropouts taking the chainstay length to 455 or 460mm. I'm also going to adjust the lower shock mount position to lower the initial leverage ratio and decrease progression. The thing is a literal bump eater, but I do think that comes with some negatives - interesting to try this!
Steel compliance is incredibly forgiving... Yet to come to my final conclusion on this, may or may not have a stiffer front triangle drawn up.
Stay tuned for more development! This project has got me excited to do more!
Yes I'm 6'2" and I love having the seat and top tube way out of the way 😂 that was the entire point. Who would ever want a high top tube? 🤛
