Larry vs Harry and the Bullitt Cargobike
The Bullitt’s construction is revolutionary:
The cargo area on a Bullitt is a part of the frame’s construction and differentiates itself from other models as their cargo box’s are primarily mounted onto the frame. The benefits of this method are numerous, primarily, that despite only weighing 22kg the complete bike is rated to carry 180kg. Yet, unlike many

other cargo bikes, the Bullitt is compact and in profile, and is only as wide as a regular bicycle. When the Bullitt was released on an unsuspecting world in 2008, it was totally revolutionary and set new standards in the bike world. Since then, it has won world, european and danish championships in it’s class and been through rigorous testing to ensure it’s position as the king of cargo bikes. A Bullitt uses ordinary components:
One can build and customise a Bullitt entirely to one’s personal requiremnets. Out in the wild, you can see Bullitt’s built up as race machines with clipless pedals and electronic shifting, as traditional upright bikes with swept back bars, leather Brooks saddles and children’s seats or as tradesmen’s transport with an assortment of tools and materials piled high aboard the cargo area.

Cargo bikes are the future:
Cycling has many health benefits and cargo bikes are a sustainable, quicker alternative to other vehicles in urban contexts. Forget trying to find a parking space and paying for the privalige. In 2015, Larry vs Harry introduced an electrically assisted Bullitt, based around Shimano’s powerful and beautifully integrated STePS system. In this bike, you have a tool with simply so many benefits and arguments for dropping petrol powered aspirations. Effortless and extremely practical is the best way of describing the STePS eBullitt. Bullitts have earned their place:
That Bullitt cargo bikes are good is no longer something we have to proclaim feverishly, it is something proven by our sales in over fifty countries and a Red Dot Design Award in 2014. Our belief in developing cargo bike culture has led to uses manyfold and a viable alternative to car transport for children and supermarket trips, for bicycle messengers in large cities the world over, rolling workshops for tradesmen, police dogs and sperm banks. Uncompromised quality:
In a rather sad state of affairs, bicycle production has taken a downturn in terms of quality, with too much emphasis on lightweight parts and everyday bicycles too often suffering from poor parts selection that rust and are not designed for harsh winters. Larry vs Harry invests in durable components and has spent untold development time ensuring our Bullitt frame has a long life, with regards to both material and paint and lacquering. Cycling contributes to preserving the environment, and nothing strengthens that fact more than durable bikes and components. Larry vs Harry are still 100% owned and operated by dedicated and experienced developers, Lars Malmborg and Hans Fogh. The foundation of their working relationship and continuing innovation, was, and still is their uncompromising dedication to quality and it is this that carries their products success. The company does not have a marketing budget as such, no investors that place demands on profit margins at the cost of quality; that one of the owners has uprooted from Copenhagen to Taiwan to ensure control over production only manifests their commitment. The Bullitt is constantly tested in it’s usage, from the cobbles of Flanders and speed records on abandoned airstrips, to continued use by logistics monoliths DHL in Germany, the cargo bike continues to prove it’s worth in all sorts of daily tasks in countries around the world. Larry vs Harry is totally independent:
The company started in 2008 with the introduction of the revolutionary Bullitt cargo bike. Shortly after, the world was hit by the financial crisis and banks, in their infinite wisdom were less than keen to give economic support to Larry and Harry. Nevertheless, and with bellies barely nourished by soup and porridge the thrifty pair managed to get their fledgling project underway. Valuable lessons were learnt in these hardy times and financial independence has proven the backbone of the company’s very existance. Larry vs Harry’s success shall be based solely on the uncompromised quality of their products.
