As in 2019, the tournament ended with a shared victory. The champions were David Hirt and Bill Schale. They shared a well-deserved triumph after an intense, spirited, yet always respectful contest for the title of unofficial World Champion of Russian Croquet 2026.

The traditional tournament Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe et la partie de croquet, held for the 16th consecutive year, may not have been as large or as representative as in previous years, but it nevertheless brought together participants from three countries. The sunny weather and almost summery heat were reflected on the croquet field, where until the very last stroke it remained impossible to predict who would become champion.

For the third year in a row, Stefanie Lassak emerged victorious, defending her title as the reigning World Champion of Russian Croquet. With this victory, she has further secured her place as one of the most accomplished players in the history of Russian Croquet. 👏👑

On Pentecost Sunday, in keeping with cherished tradition, members of our Croquet Club gathered once more for a truly special occasion: the 15th anniversary of our signature tournament, “Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe et la partie de croquet.” 🏑🏆 Participants from five different countries came together to partake in a refined and spirited game of Russian croquet, set in an idyllic and convivial atmosphere. 🌿☀️

The day was made even more memorable thanks to the generous support of our esteemed partner, Maison Tanuki of Hamburg. Guests were treated to an exquisite Crémant from Domaine Luquet, a distinguished winery in the heart of Burgundy 🍇🥂🍾, which added a note of timeless elegance to the celebration.

It was a day defined by style, camaraderie, and competitive spirit 💫, a graceful homage to fifteen years of dedication and love for the game. 🤍
