Tag 2 bei den Costa del Sol Open ☀️🇪🇸
Diesmal spielten Carmen & Johannes von den Mölkky Vitaminen zusammen mit Hugo als „Wilde Mölkky Vitamine“ 💪
Die Gruppenphase lief perfekt Platz 1 und richtig starke Leistungen! 🔥 Der erfolgreiche Weg ging weiter bis ins Viertelfinale, wo wir uns einen hart erarbeiteten Sieg sichern konnten… auch wenn wir es uns selbst etwas schwer gemacht haben 😅
Im Halbfinale sah es lange sehr gut aus. Mit einer 2:1-Führung nach drei Sätzen und eigenem Anwurf waren wir auf dem richtigen Weg doch leider gingen die letzten beiden Würfe daneben. Im entscheidenden 5. Satz waren Druck und Verunsicherung dann zu groß.
➡️ Also ging es ins Spiel um Platz 3.
Auch hier wäre deutlich mehr drin gewesen, aber zu viele unnötige Fehler gegen einen starken Gegner häuften sich, sodass wir auch dieses Spiel abgeben mussten.
Am Ende steht Platz 4.
Die Enttäuschung ist natürlich da nicht wegen des Ergebnisses (Platz 4 ist stark!), sondern weil wir wissen, dass noch mehr möglich gewesen wäre. Aber so ist Sport: Mal verliert man… und mal gewinnen die anderen.
Wir kommen stärker zurück 💙
Day 2 at the Costa del Sol Open ☀️🇪🇸
This time, Carmen & Johannes from Mölkky Vitamine teamed up with Hugo as the “Wilde Mölkky Vitamine” 💪
The group stage went perfectly finishing 1st and showing some really strong performances! 🔥 The winning streak continued all the way to the quarterfinals, where we secured a hard-fought victory… even though we made it harder for ourselves than necessary 😅
In the semifinal, things looked very promising for a long time. Leading 2:1 after three sets and having the first throw, we were on the right track but unfortunately missed the final two throws. In the deciding 5th set, pressure and uncertainty took over.
➡️ Onto the match for 3rd place.
There, even more was possible but too many unnecessary mistakes against a strong opponent from the throwing arena cost us the game.
Ending the tournament in 4th place.
Of course, the disappointment was real not because of the result (4th place is amazing!), but because we knew there was even more potential.
