At the courts with the German Davis Cup Team yesterday. Many thanks to Dirk Dier - one of the biggest talents Germany ever had after Becker & Stich, winning the Aussie Open juniors in the 90's .. throughout, he's always stayed down to Earth and to me is a role model for coming stars in the game. Good to know Dirk is now in the German development team.

Talking with Boris was interesting, to say the least. He's moving better again after his hip operation, which is great to see. May we wish him the best.

Germany is up against Hungary today at 16.00. Let's see what happens.

Davis Cup Training - Germany Hungary 2019 - Frankfurt Ballsporthalle with 2 kids of my talent group. The little guy on the left (9y) is currently nr 6 in the state of Hessen & the young lady on the right (12) is a budding talent, starting out in tournament play. Watching Zverev & Struff with comments. The fascination of the kids is a great sign. Without passion for something, you will never reach full potential.

Ferdinand (6J.) verpasst bei den U8 Bezirksmeisterschaften in Frankfurt die Chance auf den Bezirksmeistertitel knapp mit 4:5 & führte 40:30, als die Zeit ablief (es wurde auf Zeit gespielt). Ferdi wurde daher 2ter - aber als 6-Jähriger bei den 8-Jährigen !

Und Isabelle (12J.) gewann den Hofheim Cup bei Frankfurt am Main letztes Wochenende !

Great weather in NYC right now to prepare for the US Open final, but I know the same can't be said for my friends and neighbors back home in Delray Beach. Sending positive thoughts to Florida as everyone braces for Hurricane Irma 🙏
