PARKING OPEN DAY 🚗

For those planning on coming to the open day tomorrow, please be aware that part of the N10 between Remich and the marina is closed.

When navigating to LIRC, make sure to navigate to the parking lot next to the tennis court: otherwise google maps will send you to the entrance of the marina, while LIRC is located at the opposite end.

🚣🏼‍♀️ OPEN DAY APRIL 19 🚣🏼‍♀️

Come visit us on Sunday April 19 from 10:00-16:00.

We will teach you the basics of the rowing movement on the rowing machine and go out on the water for your first strokes!

This is an excellent occasion to get to know the club and the sport of rowing, as we will be organizing a beginners course starting end of April.

Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced rowers wanting to restart rowing after moving to Luxembourg.

We are a very diverse community, our members represent more than 20 nationalities! So we are sure you will be able to fit in 😄

We are at the Getting Settled in Luxembourg event today, organized by St George’s International School! We’ll be there from 11-16 to promote our club and rowing as a sport to people and families recently moved to Luxembourg 🇱🇺

While still a small sport in Luxembourg, we represent more than different 20 nationalities in our club, from members learning to row in our club to members who rowed before and are eager to continue after moving to Luxembourg 🚣🏼‍♀️

We are ready for the winter season 💪❄

The municipality of Schengen has generously provided us with a room on the second floor of the Bech-Kleinmacher town hall; for free. We can keep this space as long as we don't have our own boat house. The FLSA (Luxembourg Rowing Federation) immediately ordered four Concept2 rowing machines, which were delivered to us last Wednesday. This setup will allow us to stay in good shape, even if the conditions on the Moselle River prevent us from going out on the water.

LIRC was not only represented in Essen last weekend, Quentin participated with rowers from Basse Ham and in Nancy to the Coupe Crédit Mutuel organized by ! 🚣🏼‍♀️

Our winter season will start this weekend, and most of our boats will be stored away over winter, but we hope to continue participating in races next year 📆

Day 1️⃣ of the Kettwig Herbstcup done ✅

Juliette is participating with Treviris in Kettwig this weekend in a mixed gig, and they had a strong start on the 2500m and 750m. 🚣🏼‍♀️ Tomorrow there are still a 4000m and 250m race on the program!

Last month we unfortunately could not organize our annual Waistrooss handicap race, but we made sure we did not let the opportunity go to waste for a small 2k club competition 💪🏼🚣🏼‍♀️

In total, 11 boats participated, with crews ranging from this years beginners to experienced race rowers! We had a fun time, and finished the day together with a bbq 🥖🥓🍗🥗

This definitely tasted like more! Aug 30/31 one of our crews will participate in the 2x in the Treviris Südwestdeutschen Meisterschaften & Herbstregatta.

Une nouvelle ère pour l'aviron au Luxembourg ! 🇱🇺
Le 15 juillet, le conseil communal a approuvé à l'unanimité le projet de « Centre national d'aviron » ! 🎉
Une salle d'aviron moderne sera bientôt construite à Schwéidsbeng, près du port. Elle attirera non seulement les athlètes de tout le pays, mais deviendra également un lieu sportif incontournable sur la Moselle ! 💪🌊
Nous attendons avec impatience ce nouveau chapitre des sports nautiques luxembourgeois ! 🛶
