We are waiting and waiting. Waiting to hear some good news. Staying home and away from Cricket is one of the toughest times to pass by the Cricket lovers where the sun is shining bright. We still have hope to play some games this season. Let's hope for the best.

To make ourselves prepare for the season we already have our new kit. It looks stunning and for sure many more photos to come in this shirt. Thanks to our sponsors for the kit.

There is nothing to do other than waiting for the final call and the future plans from DCB. Hopefully, this pandemic goes away and we can return to our normal life and of course, play Cricket in the summer.

A bad day for HSV Cricket Club
In this Covid-19 situation where everybody is trying to stay at home or maintaining social distancing, some anonymous people robbed and attacked our clubhouse. They broke the window of our club room where we keep all our cricket kits and they robbed our kits, bags. Also, they broke into the Rugby stand and did a party there. Till now this looks robbery but they dug up some part of our green cricket pitch. Does this indicate something else? We don't know anything yet who did this. Such a shame to this heinous act.

So, this is the end of the season and we have to wait till the next season for the Bundesliga. Thanks to all the team members for their hard works. Although our overall performance was not up to the mark this season but we have our Captain who individual performance has topped the list. Umair Aslam, the proud captain of HSV Cricket Club has scored 496 runs in 12 innings including 1 Century and 4 Half Centuries, who is the highest run scorer this season. Not only he showed his class in batting but also he showed his best in both bowling and fielding. He is the second Most Valuable Player of the tournament. We, the HSV Cricket family wish him best of luck and good health. We also pray so that he can come back stronger in the next seasons.

Nice weather makes a great condition for playing Cricket. Most importantly it was the last Bundesliga league match of the season for us. It was a derby day between HSV and SC Europa at both of the teams home ground. Winning the toss SCE chose to bat first. After a brilliant bowling performance, HSV bowlers put early pressure. SCE were all out with 93 scores on the board. In the second innings, good start from the openers rolling the scores too fast, however brilliant bowling from SCE changed the scenario. HSV started loosing wickets on regular intervals. At one stage they were 78/8. However, HSV reached the target in 19.1 overs, winning the match by 2 wickets. It was a nice season with lot of ups and downs, HSV will come back stronger next season. Thanks for all the supports.

What a day! What a game of cricket!!
Today HSV faced PSV in their home ground. After winning the toss, HSV decided to bat first. Tight bowling from PSV in their first 15 overs builds the score 35/4 at one stage. Then a brilliant 100 runs partnership between Hasaan (32) and Rana helped to roll the score. A responsible batting from Rana who made 74 helped the team set a target of 232. A good bowling spell from Barat who took 4 wickets dominated the scoreboard. At this phase PSV were 69/7, then a masterclass batting from Mateh (80) and his partner Amin put pressure on the opponent. In the last 3 overs, they needed 9 runs and 2 wickets in hand. Finally, the late 2 wickets from Rana in the 48th over snatched the victory. HSV won the match by 7 runs. This was a much-needed win for the side. Next week PSV will host HSV in their home ground.
