Happy new year to all of you!

A new beginning in 2025 for us as a group!
You all know us personally, you may know about our jobs and our political orientation. Not talking about the high amount of people working in social or educational systems…So we had to make a right and important decision!
Some time ago we shared a post from Das Norrelag according about right-wingers, esotherics and fascists getting into the viking scene…
Last month we were informed by Oldenburger Wallmuseum that photos of our shield showing the blue whirl on a white ground.
As it seems some concerned people took these photos as an example for n***s taking part in viking-events in a museum…
We can’t express how much we appreciate the museum to contact us directly about these photos and the accusations against us…
There were teo possible reactions:
1. ignore it, as the interpretation of the whirl and the dots as a sw****ka is nothing but pure fantasy.
2. see this accusation as the possibility to get a view on things from outside our own bubble by someone completely alien to the scene…
As the first reaction would be the normal way to handle this and to continue with our routine. We really took that accusation seriously.
So we decided to do as it would be the only right way and renewed our shield designs!
We don’t want to be connected to any fascist symbols or thoughts! So noone should be able to see sw****kas or sth like that in our shields nor should anyone be able put us into the ranks of any neo-pagan-fascist scum…
To repeat it once more:
If you’re some kind of white-supremacist, neo-fascist or some other idiot. Just unlike this page and dream your white-race-weirdo-sh*t somewhere else!!!
A huge shoutout and thank you to the people reaching out to us, telling us about these accusations and thus giving us the possibility to reactbprogressively instead of beeing the unknowing passive victim!!!!
Long story short:
From 2025 on you‘ll see us wearing the new blue-white shields!
Alles neu macht das Jahr 2025!
Viele von euch kennen ja die Mitglieder unserer Gruppe und wisst zum Teil über unsere Berufe im Sozialen und Bildungs-Bereich.
Ergo stand für uns eine wichtige und richtige Entscheidung an…
Im Dezember sind eir seitens des Oldenburger Wallmuseum informiert worden, dass sie eine Nachricht bekommen haben deren Inhalt die Teilnahme von rechtsgerichteten Darstellern an Reenactmentveranstaltungen nachweisen sollte.
An sich eine gute Sache, wenn jemand darauf schaut, ob sich dubiose Leute irgendwo rumtreiben und dem Veranstalter Hinweise darauf zukommen lassen. Schließlich hat niemand überall seine Augen und auch wir wissen über schwarze Schafe in der Szene.
Dieses Mal jedoch hat jemand sich eindeutig vertan.
Auf einem der Beweisfotos ist/sind einige von uns inkl. Schilden zu sehen.
Aus dem Wirbel und den Punkten wirde kurzerhand eine Sw****ka interpretiert, die wiederum schnell mit Gedankengut wirrer Faschos verbunden wurde…
Natürlich ist an den Vorwürfen nichts dran und man hat uns auch versichert, nichts in diese Richtung zu denken.
Wir haben die Hinweise ernst genommen und uns überlegt, wie wir damit umgehen.
1. Ignorieren, weitermachen weil es völlig hanebüchen ist und das wars…
2. diese Aussenwahrnehmung ernst nehmen und es als eine Chance sehen…und deshalb die Schildbemalung ändern…
Nun, wir haben uns darüber ausgetauscht, dass man selten die Möglichkeit bekommt offen kommuniziert zu bekommen, dass etwas zwielichtigs/komisch wirkt, aus einem frenden Blickwinkel.
Natürlich war es erstmal ein Reflex das ganze abzutun, aber wir haben ernsthaft nachgedacht wie oft jemand die Dchilde gesehen haben könnte, sich seinen Teil dachte und nichts gesagt hat…
Wenn also der Wirbel auf dem Schild zu Problemen führen könnte, war eine Neuausrichtung das einzig Richtige…
Um es erneut klarzustellen, wie damals schon durch das Norrelag-Statement, wenn du das liest und dir im ersten Moment denkst „ne Sw****ka? Na und?“ dann verzieh dich!
Entlike uns bitte und verschwinde…
Bleibt kur zu sagen:
Vielen vielen Dank an das Museum und sein Team, dass ihr uns so offen informiert habt und uns so die Möglichkeiten gegeben habt proaktiv in der Situation reagieren zu können, statt unwissendes Opfer übler Nachrede zu sein!!!
Ab 2025 seht ihr uns mit diesen Schilden!
