🇩🇪 In dieser Formation sind wir zu Beginn des Jahres mit Xavi Artigas und Joel Kelso in Riesa zur Superenduro.de in die Saison gestartet, und so schließen wir diese auch ab✊ Mit einer CFMOTO 800NK, der 700MT und der 450SR im Spezialdesign, zur Ehren des Deutschland Grand-Prix, ging es zu Saisonende für unsere 23er CFMOTO Factory Rider noch einmal auf den legendären Sachsenring🌪 Auch abseits der Rennstrecke war mit einer 800MT ordentlich Fahrspaß vorprogrammiert🔥 Wir danken für die Kooperation zwischen den beiden Prestige-Klassen und die geniale Enduro-Show vom deutschen Enduro-Rider Tim Apolle #96 am CFMOTO-Racing Pruestel GP Racetruck zur MotoGP™ - die Fans waren sichtlich begeistert🏍

Emotional finish for CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP in 🇪🇸

Sun, sea, speed and spectacle: Valencia provided it all for the twentieth and last Grand Prix of the Moto3™ World Championship season and CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP ended the 2023 season in front of a sell-out crowd at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo on Spain’s east coast with Joel Kelso in 7th place and Xavi Artigas in 19th.

When the CFMOTO pilots #66 Joel Kelso und #43 Xavier Artigas were not mingling with fans at the big CFMOTO stand and watching the reaction to the 2024 bikes in the commercial area they were trying to work out the limits of grip and performance with the freshly resurfaced Valencian asphalt. On Friday Kelso was an impressive 3rd fastest while Artigas had a crash but was still less than a second from Provisional Pole; he still had to negotiate Q1 on Saturday afternoon however and could make the breakthrough. Xavi confirmed 22nd on the grid. Joel emerged from Q2 with a hard-earned 4th and sat at the top of the second row.

Moto3™ ran hot for 20 laps on Sunday. There was hardly a free seat in the arena as a group of seven battled for the Moto3™ podium in Valencia. Kelso remained in the leading group throughout the race and crossed the finish line in 7th place, just 4.6 seconds behind the winner. Artigas’ excessive speed into turn 2 caused two fallers and Xavi was given a double long lap penalty. The loss of time meant he could not push higher than 19th on the results sheet.

2023 is now in the books. Xavi Artigas has finished 15th in the Riders Championship standings with 77 points from all the races and 11 top fifteen results and a memorable podium result in the USA. His best classification was a 3rd place at the Circuit of the Americas. Kelso has ended ’23 in 17th. The 3rd at Phillip Island and his home Grand Prix was undoubtedly the highlight from nine points-scoring results. CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP have ranked 8th from all the teams on the grid.

Normally, an outlook for the coming days and weeks would now follow. But everything turned out differently…

However, the final was overshadowed by the bad news that PruestelGP will no longer be the factory team for CFMOTO. To prevent any speculation: the racing team led by Florian Prüstel arrived in Valencia a few days ago with the straight intention of starting the official Moto3™ pre-season test for 2024 on Monday with Xavier Artigas and Riccardo Rossi. The line-up for the new season was ready. Due to the short notice, the German PruestelGP team had no chance in this situation despite a strong partner network and an era of 8 seasons was ended within a few days. The disappointment on all sides is great, but the team is currently doing everything in its power to open the doors for employees and riders. Anything else would not be in line with the company philosophy. Xavier Artigas has already been successfully transferred to Moto2™.

“We wish Xavi and Joel all the best for the future. Together, they have made CFMOTO history with us, and we would like to thank them for that. Also a big thank you to my team for their hard work over the past years, we are very proud of the milestones achieved. We are currently in dialogue and working on solutions for the crew. Of course, I would also like to thank our long-standing sponsors and supporters, without whom a project like this would never have been possible,” said Florian Prüstel late in the afternoon.
