Founded by Christoph Huber in 2016, the team competed in the first year of its existence in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany under the flag of Lechner Huber Racing. Walter Lechner was Christoph's mentor for many years, with Christoph not only managing the Lechner Racing Supercup team but also holding the position as Sporting Director of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. For the first year,

Walter supported his protégée setting up the team, but for the second season it is now time to attack under the independent banner of Huber Racing. With two teams, raceunion Huber Racing and Huber Racing by TriSpa, and up to six cars the mission is clear: bring home all the titles to Bavaria!
