2006 • Adidas F50.6 Tunit x Y3 (Yohji Yamamoto)

In 2006 the man behind the Y-3 label was sketching his original animal designs onto the +F50 Tunit. Yamamoto took inspiration from Japanese artist Taishi Hayashi, producing four super exclusive boots - the Dragon, the Eagle, the Tiger and the Wolf.

Limited to 1000 pairs, the exclusive collaboration took football boot design to a new level. Each animal inspired pair came locked in a cage brandished with a plaque embossed with the adidas logo and Yamamoto’s signature. The new adidas Yamamoto adizero F50 is an extension of this original collaboration. Both are must haves for any serious boot collector.
