Today is World Lindy Hop Day, and I’ve been thinking all day about how deeply this dance can change your life 🥰
At first, it’s just your first grooves in a dance class.
And then suddenly you realize that lindy hop has brought you close friends, chosen family, unforgettable emotions, and dances in different corners of the world.
For Ukrainians, this feels especially important now.
We’ve been scattered across different cities and countries, but lindy hop still keeps us connected 💙💛
In this video of , our dancers and friends joined from different parts of the world: Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Ternopil, Sofia, Warsaw, Munich, Münster, Krakow, Amsterdam, Budapest, Norway…
And all of us are dancing the unforgettable Shim Sham 🫶🏻
And somehow, it makes us feel a little closer to each other again ❤️🩹
I love lindy hop for this feeling.
For the people.
For the music.
For the joy it brings back, even in the hardest times 💔
