🎉 Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 100. Geburtstag, Großmeister Ip Chun! 🎉
Wir feiern wir einen ganz besonderen Tag – den 100. Geburtstag von Großmeister Ip Chun, dem Sohn des legendären Ip Man und Cousin meines Meisters Sifu Lo Man Kam. 🙏
Ip Chun hat das Erbe seines Vaters nicht nur bewahrt, sondern auch mit unglaublicher Hingabe und Leidenschaft weitergegeben. Seine unermüdliche Arbeit und sein unerschütterlicher Geist haben das Wing Chun weltweit beeinflusst und unzählige Schüler inspiriert. 🌟
Ich hatte das große Glück, Ip Chun 1996 persönlich kennenzulernen und mit ihm zu trainieren. Diese Begegnung hat einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen und mich in meiner Kampfkunstreise tief geprägt.
In unserem Kampfkunstzentrum in Marburg sind wir stolz darauf, Teil dieser großartigen Tradition zu sein und über Sifu Lo Man Kam die Lehren von Ip Chuns Vater ebenso weiterzugeben, wie er es in den letzten Jahrzehnten getan hat.
Wir ehren hiermit nicht nur einen Mann, sondern ein Vermächtnis, das Generationen von Kampfkünstlern geprägt hat.

We are celebrating a very special day - the 100th birthday of Grandmaster Ip Chun, the son of the legendary Ip Man and cousin of my master Sifu Lo Man Kam. 🙏
Ip Chun has not only preserved his father's legacy, but has also passed it on with incredible dedication and passion. His tireless work and unwavering spirit have influenced Wing Chun worldwide and inspired countless students. 🌟
I had the great fortune to meet Ip Chun in person in 1996 and to train with him. This encounter left a lasting impression and deeply influenced me in my martial arts journey.
At our martial arts centre in Marburg, we are proud to be part of this great tradition and to pass on the teachings of Ip Chun's father through Sifu Lo Man Kam, just as he has done over the past decades.
We are honouring not only a man, but a legacy that has shaped generations of martial artists.

Sehr spannendes Interview mit meinem Meister, Sifu Lo Man Kam 👊🙂
Ein kleiner Auszug:
"Sehen Sie irgendwelche Unterschiede zwischen dem modernen Wing Chun und dem Stil, den Ihr Onkel Sie lehrte?"
Selbst gegen 1970 unterrichtete Yip Man nie wirklich viele Schüler. Ohne die Privatsphäre vieler Gelegenheitsschüler zu verletzen und ohne sie namentlich zu nennen, kamen viele, um nur sehr kurz von meinem Onkel zu lernen. Sie lernten nur oberflächlich und nur bis zur Siu Nim Tau Form. Schnell eröffneten sie ihre eigenen Klassen und warben offen für Wing Chun.
Wir können also mit Sicherheit davon ausgehen, dass zwischen dem, was sie weitergegeben haben, und dem, was mein Onkel wusste und weiter lehrte, eine große Kluft besteht. Man kann sagen, dass es sich nicht um eine Abweichung von Yip Man's Lehren handelt, weil sie nur so wenig mitbekommen haben, bevor sie ihn verließen, sondern eher um das, was diese Leute erfunden oder vermischt haben, was zu den Unterschieden führte, die wir jetzt in der Wing Chun Gemeinschaft sehen.

Was für ein aufregendes Wochenende! 🤩
Statt im gewohnten Kung-Fu-Dress habe ich mich diesmal im Business-Outfit im schicken Hotel Federwerk in St. Georgen im Schwarzwald rumgetrieben. Beim Event von Falk Berberich konnte ich mich mit anderen Schulleitern aus den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen der Kampfsportszene treffen.
Es ist immer sehr inspirierend, sich persönlich mit anderen auszutauschen, Erfahrungen zu teilen, neue Ideen zu sammeln und gemeinsam daran zu arbeiten, unsere Schulen auf das nächste Level zu heben um unsere Einrichtungen noch besser auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Schüler auszurichten.
Solche Events sind nicht nur lehrreich und motivierend, sondern bestätigen mich auch darin, dass der Weg, den wir eingeschlagen haben, der richtige ist. Ich freue mich schon auf all die spannenden Dinge, die in den nächsten Jahren auf uns zukommen! 👍🙂
Der Höhepunkt war, dass ich den Gold Award 🥇 für die erfolgreichsten Kampfsportschulen von Falk Berberich persönlich entgegennehmen durfte. 💪
Das war der krönende Abschluss eines inspirierenden Wochenendes! 🤩

Tribute to the 130th birthday of Grandmaster Yip Man 葉問.
Today we commemorate a man whose influence on the world of the Wing Chun martial arts system is hard to put into words. On 1 October 1893, the great Yip Man was born in Foshan, China, and today, 130 years later, we remember his legacy and his tireless dedication to the martial arts.
Yip Man, also known as Ip Man, is respected not only for his unsurpassed skill in Wing Chun Kung Fu, but also for his role in spreading this formidable martial arts style throughout the world. His students, including the famous actor Bruce Lee, have carried his teachings down through the generations, making Wing Chun one of the most well-known and respected martial arts styles.
Yip Man embodied the essence of Wing Chun - the efficiency, elegance and philosophy of gentle but powerful movements. His lifelong dedication to perfecting this style and his ability to generously pass on his knowledge to his students make him a true grandmaster and an inspirational figure to martial artists around the world.
We remember Yip Man as a man who not only learned an exceptional martial art, but also embodied the principles of honour, respect and humility. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all those who practice Wing Chun Kung Fu and benefit from his wisdom.
Personally, I feel fortunate and grateful to be able to carry on Grandmaster Yip Man's legacy through my master Lo Man Kam, his nephew and long-time student, to many students and teachers from other schools throughout Germany.
It is an honour for me to be able to contribute in this way, in all modesty and in his spirit, so that the flame of Wing Chun Kung Fu still burns bright and alive after so many years.
On the occasion of Grandmaster Yip Man's 130th birthday, we would like to express our appreciation and respect for his dedication and contributions to the world of martial arts. May his spirit continue to live on in the halls of Wing Chun schools and in the hearts of his students and admirers around the world.

Learn How To Build A Tri-pole Dummy
Wing Chun features a unique training equipment called “Ban-Zi-Zong 品字樁” in Cantonese, which is commonly referred to as the "Tri-Pole Dummy" in English due to its triangular shape and three poles.
The original Tri-Pole Dummy is mounted on the ground and designed specifically to enhance Wing Chun practitioners' close-range kicking techniques and footwork. Depending on the style of Wing Chun being practiced, the Tri-Pole Dummy can also be constructed with a wider distance of each pole, which is ideal for open-range fighting.
