Lausitz Rallye 2025 - Finishing 5th in RC4.
A phone call about one week ago when I’ve been in Japan… A sudden opportunity to unexpectedly have one final race in my 2025 season. Not just a race - the most beautiful rally, Germany has to offer.
The preconditions weren’t the best ones: ultra little prep time, no test before the event for a pairing which had never been together in the car before and two massive night stages as a kickoff.
Against all odds, and I managed quickly to find a good rhythm together and after a few setup changes in the morning, fun started to roll in. This was different as I never did this event in a 2WD car before but it was not less fun than the 3 editions I was allowed to race before - including the fastest stage ever I’ve seen in this event.
Making it to the finish line in P5 was quite some work but we managed to bring back the Corsa without a scratch, winning the junior trophy of the event.
Dear Nick, I am super grateful for your trust in me and the opportunity to not having to end my season with the massive crash from Bad Emstal 4 weeks ago. It’s clearly been a joyride and maybe not our last event together? Shoutout to all the guys from keeping the Corsa running and taking good care of us between the stages.
