Aktuell bekommen wir viele Nachrichten zum Thema Grasmilben. Ist euer Pferd auch betroffen? Dann kann eine Wäsche mit dem SOS Hautpflege Shampoo bei Milben und das anschließende Auftragen der SOS Hautpflege Lotion oder Salbe helfen. 🍀 Vor allem Pferde mit viel Behang sind häufig betroffen und profitieren von der Pflege. Aber auch bei Pferden mit wenig Behang kann ein Befall auftreten. Häufig betroffen sind Fesselbeugen, Beine, Bauch und der Kopfbereich (z.B. Nüstern und Maul). Starkes Scheuern, Stampfen mit den Hufen, Unruhe und kleine, rote oder schwarze Pusteln oder Krusten auf der Haut sind häufige Anzeichen. Grasmilbenlarven werden ab Temperaturen von etwa 15 °C im Frühjahr aktiv, weshalb es aktuell so viele Fälle gibt. Hättet ihr es gewusst?

However, horses with little fetlock hair can also be affected. Commonly affected areas include the fetlocks, legs, belly and head (e.g. nostrils and mouth). Vigorous rubbing, stamping with the hooves, restlessness and small, red or black pustules or scabs on the skin are common signs. Grass mite larvae become active from temperatures of around 15 °C in spring, which is why there are so many cases at the moment. Did you know that?
