IMPORTANT:
At the moment we're facing some inconveniences caused by damage to the court surface that seem to be of crashed bikes origin.
For being allowed to play, we have to fulfill the obligation that specific parts (bar ends, pedals, axles) of each bike have to be padded – if they are not made of plastic.
Unfortunately, that means for you to do so as well.
To save time on registration at the court and for immediate shuffle games on friday, we beg you to do the padding in advance as we're forced to check every bike.
How we solved it:
- Get some cheap plastic bar end plugs or those rubber grips that are closed on the outside.
- Standard threaded axles with a nut can be wrapped with a doubled piece of an inner tube (of course a little longer than the axle) and fixed by a zip tie around it. Turned out to be effective, durable and in case of a mechanic, easy to strip off.
- Metal pedals (clipless/flat) can be wrapped with a doubled inner tube and zip ties as well. Plastic pedal are fine.
- Of course you're free to experiment on your own as long as it doesn't go off on the first crash.
