Second part of a season ending- ski season was not the most straightforward- first it was good, then bad, then dangerous, then dangerous again…on and on it went emphasising the fact that we talk much more about „conditions „ and less about „seasons“, still- thanks again to all the friends, colleagues, students and clients I had the privilege of sharing with them time in the mountains this last winter season of 25/26.

Winter 2025-26 started early and ended for me unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago, though objectively long, still felt to me too short, always unexpected, sometimes tricky, yet rewarding. I’d like to thank everyone involved in this year’s adventures- students, colleagues and climbing partners for a good season. Deep breath and summer 26 can begin (slowly, please 😉). Ice climbing season 2027 is online!

Seconds before the weather shifted, a couple of guiding days from home with Martin. From perfect spring weather with north side powder and south side spring snow to a full on winter storm ⛈️ Juggling between planning, guiding, kids and hosting was as always complex but also rewarding.

Ski in- Ski out- something to appreciate; from home with the bike when the kids are at school, batteries charging and back down to the valley and home sweet home for lunch 😉
