COURAGE - The only thing you need to start
Settling in Hamburg after having lived in Aotearoa/New Zealand for four years has not been the easiest of feats.
It left me with nothing but awe for my past self though. So let me tell you a little story:
In August 2018, when I was still in the process of finishing my first yoga teacher training, I felt the strong urge to start teaching even though I had never really set out to do so.
Magically, the only studio I had tried and loved in Dunedin before I left for my training, was looking for new teachers.
So I did the blind, and naive and yet very courageous thing and applied.
Once I was back in Dunedin, I taught a trial class, didn't get the teaching position but was offered it a short time later.
And that's how, very unintentionally, my Soul Biz journey started.
Now that I'm finding myself, once again, in a new city, I've been having a much harder time being as naive and courageous in reaching out to yoga studios ('cause yes, I'd love to teach a public in-person class again). And I'm in nothing but awe of my past self.
The older we get, the more aware we become of the many ways we can be rejected.
What is truly needed if you want to start your Soul Biz though, is a child-like wonder, excitement and what some may call naivete.
All is not lost though!
With the right compassionate support, a little bit of courage (but, by far, not as much as you think you need), and the willingness to get to know yourself on a whole new level, there's nothing that can truly get in the way of you stepping into your Soul Biz.
I'd love to know - can you somewhat relate to my experience? Either my courageous past self or my more cautious present self? Pop it in the comments or send me a dm!
