Kyle Fincham is coming to Hamburg and I’m happy to take part and invite others that want to take part in this great opportunity.

This workshop is a playful exploration; there are more questions than answers, and more suggestions than instructions. Play welcomes risk taking, and facilitates the possibility of surprise and discovery; elements that feed our intelligence and creative potential. We will utilize tools such as coordination, rhythm, imagination, physical problem solving, and discourse on our trek through the mountain of human potential.

During the group classes we are sometimes training directly together and sometimes working on similar skills but with everyone working on their own version depending on their experience and what is possible for them. Here David is practicing a more advanced pattern on the rail. I introduced it but he is much better at then myself. I love that.

Es gibt einen weiteren Kinder Parkour Kurs für Kinder von 6-9 Jahren, der am Mittwoch, den 28.05. anfängt. Infos und Anmeldung heir :

Auf Grund der großen Nachfrage gibt es einen weiteren Roots Movement Parkourkurs für Kinder. Dieser startet am 28.04. um 16:10 Uhr für Kinder zwischen 6 und 9 Jahren. Wir trainieren in der City Nord (Treffpunkt: Überseering 1 neben der Esso Tankstelle). Zeiten: 6-9 Jährige Mittwochs, 16:10

Ich freue mich, dass wir nun endlich wieder mit dem Kinderparkour starten können. Eure vielen Anfragen zeigen, dass die Kinder Lust haben wieder draußen Sport zu machen, und die Eltern auch!
Dieses Mal trainieren wir in der City Nord(Treffpunkt: Überseering 1 neben der Esso Tankstelle).

Es gibt diese zwei Kurse:

6-8 Jährige Montags, 15:45 Uhr - 16:30 Uhr

8-10 Jährige Montags, 16:40 - 17:30

Es handelt sich um einen geschlossenen Kurs mit einer auf 10 Kinder begrenzten Teilnehmerzahl.

Die Kosten betragen für die 9 Termine bis zu den Sommerferien 70€ pro Kind.

Working on a coordination with my friend Dennis in a personal training session. In group classes and with personal training i often use coordinations. We can learn a lot about ourselves while practicing.
I won’t write a list here but there are two levels i aim to achieve in time, a cognitive understanding of what is happening ( The right arm swings backwards and the left swings forward at the same time as the left leg steps for example) also with practice we can feel what it is like to coordinate and move the body as one. We start to feel connected, bouncy and it can start to give more energy than it takes. A wonderful feeling!

Here is a reasonably simple coordination task to try if such things Interest you.
4 options.
1. Hips and ball both going anti clockwise.
2. Ball anti clockwise, hips clockwise.
3. Hips and ball both clockwise.
4. Hips clockwise, Ball anti clockwise.

To start, practice each pattern on its own and then you can try switch through the patterns by changing either hip or ball direction. Eventually without stopping during the direction change.
Variations could be with feet wide, neutral or together.

Last weekend I gave a private training to a dad and his daughter. We played games that gave each their turn to be the leader and have the power to choose what happens. This can be a lot of fun for the child to feel in charge and to see the parent following their lead. In a child’s life there are many things out of their control, many choices are made for them them, often opposing their own will . Brushing their teeth, getting dressed, or going to the doctor for example. Giving up so much they will try to find ways to assert their Autonomy.
When you get home and play doctor together, more than likely your child will want to play the role of the doctor, and it’s your turn to get poked and prodded and told what to do.
Using such games can give them a chance to experience being the chooser of what happens in a safe way.
Another game was to work together to reach the same goal, here it nice to see both coming up with solutions to the obstacles together. This type of game is nice to feel that even if the parent is usually the authority on what happens, if you can collaborate together it can be beneficial and a pleasure for both.
Within various games/exercises there are so many chances to bond with your kids and really enjoy your time together. I obviously like physical games where you move a lot and learn about your physicality in the process.
