6,251 METERS. A HIGHLINE ON TRANGO TOWER 🏔️

In August, we, Antonia Antonia Rüede-Passul and Lukas LUKAS IRMLER - SLACKLINER & SPEAKER, stood on the summit of Trango Nameless Tower in Pakistan — with a highline at 6,251 meters above sea level stretched between us.

Getting there was a long journey. To acclimatize, we first climbed Great Trango Tower (6,280 m) before ascending Nameless Tower via the Eternal Flame route.

Difficult climbing, rockfall, and unpredictable weather made this expedition a real challenge. Andi Reichert, Simon Mayer Samuel Tomaselli and tax officer Lars Loichen took the lead on the climbing. To walk the highline, we had to summit twice, fix ropes, and rig the line at over 6,000 meters.

And then, the moment finally arrived: the highline beneath our feet, K2 on the horizon, and the thin air at 6,251 meters.

For Antonia Rüede-Passul, this crossing marks a new world record — the women’s highline altitude record. For Lukas, it was his first highline above 6,000 meters. With this fantastic team, we established the highest highline in the Karakoram.
