UK Sailmakers freut sich über die neuen Segel für die J/40-Flotte der Hanseatischen Yachtschule Glücksburg!
Mit Stolz durften wir die neuen Segel für die brandneuen J/40-Yachten der Hanseatischen Yachtschule Glücksburg liefern – ein spannendes Projekt, das Tradition, Qualität und moderne Segeltechnik vereint.
Die Segel wurden im triradialen Schnitt aus hochwertigem schwarzem Dacron gefertigt. Dieses Material bietet die perfekte Balance aus Haltbarkeit, Formstabilität und Performance – ideal für den anspruchsvollen Einsatz im täglichen Schulungsbetrieb, ob bei leichten Winden oder kräftiger Ostseebrise.
Robust im Handling, schnell auf dem Wasser und zuverlässig in jeder Situation – die neuen UK-Segel sorgen dafür, dass AusbilderInnen und SchülerInnen der Hanseatischen Yachtschule das Beste aus jeder Trainingseinheit herausholen können.
Wir wünschen der Crew der Yachtschule viele erfolgreiche und sichere Seemeilen mit ihren neuen Segeln – und immer eine Handbreit Wasser unterm Kiel.

UK Sailmakers is delighted to announce the new sails for the J/40 fleet of the Hanseatische Yachtschule Glücksburg!
We are proud to have supplied the new sails for the brand-new J/40 yachts of the Hanseatische Yachtschule Glücksburg – an exciting project that combines tradition, quality, and modern sailing technology.
The sails were manufactured in a triradial cut from high-quality black Dacron. This material offers the perfect balance of durability, dimensional stability, and performance – ideal for demanding use in daily training operations, whether in light winds or strong Baltic Sea breezes.
Robust in handling, fast on the water, and reliable in every situation – the new UK sails ensure that instructors and students at the Hanseatic Yacht School can get the most out of every training session.
We wish the yacht school crew many successful and safe nautical miles with their new sails – and always a hand's breadth of water under their keel.

Das Silverrudder-Event 2025 stand dieses Jahr ganz im Zeichen des Zen-Segelns: Leichtwind, Flautenlöcher, segelnde Meditation. Wer Geduld hatte, wurde erleuchtet – wer keine hatte, lernte sie spätestens im kleinen Belt ohne Druck im Segel. Und doch: Genau das macht den Charme aus. Der Spirit des Silverrudders ist kein Pokal, sondern der Zusammenhalt. Alte Bekannte wiedersehen, neue Freunde finden, als große Familie auf und neben dem Wasser unterwegs sein.
Dazu eine Organisation, die reibungslos läuft wie frisch geölte Winschen, und unzählige Helferinnen und Helfer, die an Land und auf dem Wasser alles möglich machen.
Schöne Ergebnisse gab es dann auch noch für UK Sailmakers am Ende. Wenn einer flanieren konnte, dann André Bätz – allerdings nicht auf der Promenade, sondern mit seinem getunten Serien-Trimaran „Flaneur“. Der rauschte bei den multihulls small so lässig zum Sieg, als hätte er den Wind persönlich abonniert.
Und im Keelboat medium wurde es dramatisch: Stefan Voss und seine „OM“ lieferten sich ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen, das erst im Fotofinish entschieden wurde. Am Ende ein glänzender zweiter Platz – und das Gefühl, ein paar graue Haare mehr gesammelt zu haben.

Klar, Siege sind schön. Aber das eigentlich unbezahlbare Souvenir? Das Finisher-Shirt – getragen mit Stolz, Schweiß und einer gehörigen Portion „Es-geschafft-zu-haben“

This year's Silverrudder event in 2025 was all about Zen sailing: light winds, calm patches, sailing meditation. Those who were patient were enlightened – those who weren't learned patience in the Little Belt, with no pressure on the sails. And yet, that's exactly what makes it so charming. The spirit of Silverrudder is not about trophies, but about solidarity. Seeing old friends again, making new ones, being part of a big family on and off the water.
Add to that an organization that runs as smoothly as freshly oiled winches and countless helpers who make everything possible on land and on the water.
There were also great results for UK Sailmakers at the end. If anyone could stroll, it was André Bätz – not on the promenade, but with his tuned series trimaran “Flaneur.” He sailed to victory in the multihulls small class as casually as if he had a personal subscription to the wind.
And in the keelboat medium class, it was dramatic: Stefan Voss and his “OM” were neck and neck in a race that was only decided in a photo finish. In the end, a brilliant second place – and the feeling of having gained a few more gray hairs.

Sure, victories are nice. But the real priceless souvenir? The finisher shirt – worn with pride, sweat, and a good dose of “I did it!”

"Fräulein P. " 3. Platz bei der Schwedischen Meisterschaft der X-Pressen
🏆 Nach dem knappen 2. Platz bei der Dänischen Meisterschaft in Aarhus konnten wir nun auch bei der Schwedischen Meisterschaft in Lomma aufs Podium segeln – Platz 3!
⛵️ 17 Teams aus Norwegen, Dänemark, Deutschland und Schweden
🌞 9 spannende Regatten an drei Tagen bei bestem Segelwetter
👏 Perfekte Organisation an Land und auf dem Wasser
Das Niveau war durchweg hoch und sehr ausgeglichen – mit Ausnahme von 🇸🇪 Michael Collberg, der seine Extraklasse einmal mehr eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellte. Auf den ersten 3 Plätzen zeigten sich strahlende Sieger, die mit UK-Segeln erfolgreich waren.
Wir sind mega happy mit unserer Performance und nehmen viel Motivation für die nächsten Regatten mit! 💪⛵️✨

🏆 After our close 2nd place at the Danish Championship in Aarhus, we made it onto the podium again – 3rd place at the Swedish Championship in Lomma!

🌞 9 exciting races over three days with light to medium winds, sunshine and great conditions

The level of competition was very high and evenly matched – except for 🇸🇪 Michael Collberg, who once again showed his outstanding class. The top three places were taken by happy winners who were successful with UK sails.

UK Sails belegt die ersten drei Plätze bei den dänischen Express-Meisterschaften
Bei perfektem skandinavischem Sommerwetter gewann Albin Express – Explorer vom Thurø Sailing Club – die nationalen Meisterschaften in Aarhus, Dänemark. Auf dem zweiten Platz landete Fräulein P aus Glücksburg, und den dritten Platz belegte Exceed aus Vejle. Alle drei Boote segelten mit Segeln von UK Sailmakers.
Explorer gewann die dänischen Meisterschaften mit Segeln von UK Sailmakers in den Jahren 2022, 2023 und 2025, musste sich 2024 jedoch mit dem zweiten Platz begnügen.
Aarhus Bugt stellte die Crews mit schwierigen Strömungen und wechselnden Winden vor große Herausforderungen. Der erste Renntag begann mit extrem schwachem Wind, der bis zum Ende des Tages stetig auf 20 Knoten zunahm. Fräulein P gewann alle vier Rennen und setzte sich damit deutlich vor allen anderen Konkurrenten durch, gefolgt von Explorer und Exceed auf den Plätzen zwei und drei.
Der zweite Tag brachte sehr leichte und schwierige Bedingungen mit sich, wobei die Boote massiv davon profitierten, dass sie an den äußeren Seiten der Strecke segelten, wo Winddreher von bis zu 40 Grad zu finden waren.
Am Ende des achten Rennens lag Explorer mit einem Punkt Vorsprung vor Fräulein P, die wiederum nur einen Punkt vor Exceed lag. Es war, gelinde gesagt, ein knappes Rennen.

UK Sails Takes Top Three Positions at the Danish Express Nationals
In perfect Scandinavian summer weather, Albin Express — Explorer from Thurø Sailing Club — won the National Championships in Aarhus, Denmark. In second place was Fräulein P from Glücksburg, and third place was taken by Exceed from Vejle. The top three boats all sailed with UK Sailmakers sails.
Explorer won the Danish Nationals sporting UK Sailmakers sails in 2022, 2023, and 2025, but had to settle for second place in 2024.
Aarhus Bugt played havoc with the crews, offering tricky currents and shifting winds. The first day of racing began with extremely light airs, which steadily increased to 20 knots by the end of the day. Fräulein P won all four races, putting herself well ahead of all other competitors, with Explorer and Exceed in second and third places.
The second day brought very light and tricky conditions, with boats gaining massively by sailing to the far sides of the course, where wind shifts of up to 40 degrees could be found.
By the end of the eighth race, Explorer held a one-point lead over Fräulein P, who was also just one point ahead of Exceed. Close sailing to say the least.

Erfolgreicher Auftritt bei der Kieler Woche!
Das Team um Steuermann Lukas Feuerherdt vom Blankenese Segel-Club zeigte auf der diesjährigen Kieler Woche starke Leistungen in der J/70-Klasse – unterstützt durch brandneue Segel vom offiziellen Segel-Bundesliga-Ausstatter UK Sailmakers. Ein starkes Setup und ein super Team, das sich auf dem Wasser richtig gut bewährt hat und sich in der Gesamtwertung einen exzellenten 5. Platz sichern konnte.

A successful performance at Kiel Week! The team led by helmsman Lukas Feuerherdt from the Blankenese Sailing Club put in a strong performance in the J/70 class at this year‘s Kiel Week – supported by brand new sails from the official German Sailing League supplier UK Sailmakers. A strong setup and a great team that performed really well on the water and secured an excellent 5th place in the overall standings.

Die Kieler Woche 2025 ist beendet 😆⛵️
Im zweiten Teil der Woche stand für uns die IDM im Double Handed Segeln mit der X332 - XALTY auf dem Programm – und wir haben den Deutschen Meistertitel geholt! 🏆🇩🇪
Ein riesiges Dankeschön an meinen großartigen Segelpartner Jan Assmann – einfach superklasse gesegelt! 💪
Danke an alle Unterstützer, unsere Familien, die uns so kräftig den Rücken freigehalten haben 🙌
Und natürlich ein fettes Danke an UK Sailmakers – eure Segel waren einfach genial unter allen Bedingungen!

Kiel Week 2025 is over 😆⛵️
In the second half of the week, we competed in the IDM double-handed sailing competition with the X332 - XALTY – and we won the German championship title! 🏆🇩🇪

Das klingt nach einer fantastischen Erfahrung auf der Kieler Woche!
„Die Kieler Woche hat einen großartigen Eindruck hinterlassen! Oleksandr Mukhin vom Team Kherson teilt seine Begeisterung: ‚Es war besonders schön zu sehen, dass die L30-Klasse Teil eines so bedeutenden Segel-Events geworden ist. Die Regatta bot eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Bedingungen und die Atmosphäre war unglaublich: Hunderte von Yachten und Teilnehmer um uns herum – ein wahres Segelfest, auf das wir stolz waren, Teil davon zu sein. Ich hoffe, dass die L30-Klasse auch im nächsten Jahr wieder Teil dieses fantastischen Segelfestivals sein wird!
Oleksandr Mukhin und seine Crew lieferten bei der Kieler Woche eine starke Performance ab und sicherten sich den zweiten Platz – mit Segeln von UK Sailmakers, die bei allen Bedingungen perfekt funktionierten: von Flaute bis Starkwind. „Unsere Segel waren unter allen Bedingungen top – das hat den Unterschied gemacht!“, so Mukhin. Glückwunsch an das ganze Team!

That sounds like a fantastic experience at Kiel Week! „Kiel Week left a great impression! Oleksandr Mukhin from Team Kherson shares his enthusiasm: ‚It was especially nice to see that the L30 class has become part of such a significant sailing event. The regatta offered a variety of different conditions and the atmosphere was incredible: hundreds of yachts and participants around us – a true sailing festival that we were proud to be part of. I hope that the L30 class will be part of this fantastic sailing festival again next year! Oleksandr Mukhin and his crew delivered a strong performance at Kiel Week and secured second place – with sails from UK Sailmakers that performed perfectly in all conditions: from calm to strong winds. “Our sails were top notch in all conditions – that made the difference!” said Mukhin. Claudia unterstützt unser Team seit 2024 als erfahrene Buchhalterin. Dank ihrer verbindlichen und strukturierten Arbeitsweise läuft in der Verwaltung alles rund. Am Telefon ist sie oft die erste freundliche Stimme, die unsere Kundinnen und Kunden hören. Auch privat ist sie dem Wasser verbunden: Als begeisterte Familienseglerin kennt sie die Welt des Segelns aus eigener Erfahrung. Wir freuen uns, sie an Bord zu haben!

Claudia has been supporting our team as an experienced accountant since 2024. Thanks to her reliable and structured approach to work, everything runs smoothly in the administration department. She is often the first friendly voice our customers hear on the phone. She also has a personal connection to water: as an enthusiastic family sailor, she knows the world of sailing from her own experience. We are delighted to have her on board!
