“They are soooo comfy!”
We asked our Skandika Service-Team to try out the new EASY self-inflating mats and they got right down to it – Jana was fast asleep in no time! That’s not exactly what we had in mind for work today… 😉

Today is St. Olaf’s Day, or Ólavsøka – the national holiday of the Faroe Isles.
The Faroese parliament opens, there are processions and speeches and plenty of singing, dancing and laughing. The festivities take place in Tórshavn and the rowing regatta draws tourists from all over the world.

Wow! You seem to really like our Nimbus 12! Whether for a big family holiday or as a festival/party tent – the Nimbus is just perfect!
In our “making-of” video (post from Monday!) you can see the 12 person version with completely sewn-in groundsheet, the Nimbus 12 Protect. It comes in two colours – blue and grey/orange.
The tent is also available without the sewn-in groundsheet (the tub-groundsheet for the central living area and the flat groundsheet for the front porch area are, of course, included!) and also in a slightly smaller version, for 8 people.
Warning! Only use LED party lights in or on your tent to avoid risk of fire!

Last week the Skandikas were out doing another photoshoot for you. This time we had our best-seller tent, the Skandika Nimbus 12 with us. You already know that the Nimbus is absolutely huge and ideal for big family holidays, but have you ever thought about using it as a party tent…? Our Nimbus is a real favourite for festivals! Even if you leave 2 of the 3 sleeping cabins in (it’s nice to have your bed ready-made and handy… 😉 ) there is still loads of space for your very own mega-party on the festival site.
As an appetizer here’s a little “Making-of” video of our shooting with and our cool “Party Models” Annika, Claudia, Vanessa, Pascal, Maxi und Flo. We had great fun with you!

On Monday our brand ambassador Joey Kelly and his son Luke started their road trip from Berlin to Beijing in China. The challenge is to do this with no money for food or petrol – the two of them will have to beg or work for what they need as they go! And their vehicle isn’t exactly a spring chicken either – a VW bus, over 50 years old!
Skandika is providing the guys and their team with equipment – cosy sleeping bags for Joey and Luke, some comfy camping chairs for relaxing, and plenty more for their support-team.
Will they get to Beijing? We’ll try to keep you up to date over the next few weeks. At least they managed to reach Poland yesterday…. 😊
