German Youth Tennis Championships 2025 🇩🇪🔥 — On-Site Coaching in Essen

Fantastic two days supporting the youth squad of directly at the German Championships in Essen.
We focused on clear decisions under pressure, emotional regulation, and applying previously established performance routines throughout the matches.

Big props to the whole team — players and coaches — for your energy, cohesion, and professionalism on and off the court.
Proud of the way you competed and supported each other so far. Good luck to all players for the rest of the week.

Personally it is always special to cross paths with so many old friends and companions along the way.

🎾 Great Performance Workshop at the German Tennis Federation in Cologne Preparing for the German Championships:

3 days + 26 players + their coaches.
Two age groups.
One goal: Handle pressure & stay present when it matters.

We worked on the core elements of consistent performance:
• Managing pressure and stress
• Practical tools for relaxation & in-between match recovery
• Effective self-management during breaks & transitions

Loved the energy and collaboration — players and coaches really worked as one team. 🙌

Challenger events like this are more than just match days – they’re testing grounds. For mindset and the ability to stay present when things get real. Days like these are where it all comes together – or gets challenged (which is part of the deal 😉).

Inspiring to see so many German and international young talents entering the ATP tour (Singles & Doubles) almost 10 years after observing them for the first time.

👣 Progress isn’t always loud. But it’s happening.

Mara reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and Roland Garros as a junior in 2021 (career-high ITF #14) — and we started working together last month (then ranked WTA #640).

Yesterday’s on-court Performance Training in Offenbach was 🔥 — high focus, great energy, and lots of fun.

That was fun! 10 intensive growth-oriented performance training & coaching days with who just cracked the top 300 ( #299) of the ATP singles rankings (new career high - we started working at the beginning of 2023 ~ #800 ATP).
I am grateful for the trust and the great cooperation also to brother and coach and the whole team of supporters. Our close collaboration enriches me personally and professionally.
Many thanks also to the top training partners during the last two weeks and for the indoor courts in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Essen.
Let’s continue to grow together and see where this exciting journey will take us. I’m looking forward to it!
