Last weekend, we had the pleasure of participating in the 39. Horizontale - Rund um Jena—one of Germany's most iconic 100 km hiking events and a true classic among all long-distance hikes.

A huge thank you to Timo | https://www.laufservice-jena.de/, the organizing team, and all the volunteers who make this extraordinary event possible year after year.

For many years, the Horizontale has relied on RACEMAP live tracking to keep participants safe & provide the team with a real-time overview of the entire field. Every participant easily joins live tracking, either through our RACEMAP app or with a rented GPS tracker.

As participants ourselves, it was reassuring to know that the organizers always knew where everyone was on the course.

But what makes the Horizontale truly special is the experience itself: overcoming challenges, sharing conversations with fellow hikers, watching the landscape change from daylight into darkness, and celebrating the finish after 100 unforgettable kilometers.

We joined the event incognito as participants and had an amazing weekend around Jena. Congratulations to everyone who took part! 👏
