Starker Auftritt von Vincent beim Südwest Cup 2026 🎾🏆

An diesem Wochenende konnte sich Vincent in der Konkurrenz U12 den Turniersieg sichern und den Titel nach Hause holen. Mit großem Einsatz, starken Matches und viel Kampfgeist hat er ein beeindruckendes Turnier gespielt. 👏

Sometimes during practice a child may look calm, move without urgency, and not appear to give maximum effort. To parents, it can seem like laziness 🦥

But in a match, that same child suddenly changes — reacting faster, moving better, making confident decisions.

This isn’t about laziness. It’s about the nervous system.

In practice, the brain feels safe: familiar drills, no score, no pressure. The body doesn’t switch into full competition mode, so movements stay relaxed and economical.

During a match, everything shifts. There’s an opponent, a score, emotions. Adrenaline rises, focus sharpens, thinking speeds up. The child performs at a higher level because the situation demands it.

We often see players who truly open up in competition. They need the game context to fully engage.

☝️ A calm practice session doesn’t mean a lack of effort. Often, it simply means their energy and focus peak when there is a real competitive challenge.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒Parents usually see:
In or out.
Won the rally or lost it.

A coach sees something else.

☝️Where the child looks before returning serve.

👌How long the pause between shots lasts.

📍What happens to the body after a mistake.

🎾Whether the decision is made early - or at the very last second.

Micro-signals are always more honest than the score.

A player can keep the ball in play while avoiding difficult decisions.
Run a lot - but move without purpose.
Look calm - but internally give up the rally before the opponent even hits.

We notice when the gaze becomes unfocused.
When the pause before the shot gets slightly longer.
When the body closes instead of moving into the ball.

That’s where real progress begins.
Or stops.

Growth doesn’t start with shot power.
It starts with the quality of decisions between shots.

💪From the stands, it’s almost invisible.
For the coach on court - it’s crystal clear.

Mistakes in Practice ❗️

Sometimes the coach doesn’t stop a player after the first mistake.

Not because it wasn’t seen.
But because the player needs to feel what isn’t working —
timing, positioning, or shot selection.

If we give the answer immediately, the player copies.
If they experience the mistake, they learn.

🎾Tennis is fast.
There are no pauses for long explanations.

That’s why in practice we create situations where players must find solutions themselves.

This builds independence.
Resilience.
Real game intelligence.

💪And that’s what separates consistent competitors from players who only look good with constant guidance.
