We (Yotam, Jan, Vincent and Kilian) had a great weekend in Düsseldorf!

We started on saturday with a nice back to back win against the Catering Beavers and Fryslan! On the Sunday morning we had a rough time against the superior
Hellfred, but we turned things around against Campina Curling to take 2nd place overall!

Thanks to the organization and all the other teams, congrats to Hellfred on taking 1st place and hopefully until next year!

Final game for the 5th place in the high league of the MNL. Geonius vs Awesomesauce

The final game for the 5th place in the high league of the MNL was (for the 4th time this season) Geonius vs Awesomesauce. While the game started well for Awesomesauce with a 4-house steal in the first end, Geonius came back and after the 5th end Geonius was ahead 6-4. The last two ends brought a tie 7-7, after which an additional end was played. Eventually Awesomesauce stole the end with 3 points resulting in 10-7 and 4th win against Geonius this season.

Last Monday's MNL match was against the Dutch Ladies' Team. We won against them in the group phase, however last week they were the better team. With two wins and three losses in the high league of the MNL (but not the best drawshots); we will play in two weeks for the 5th place against Team Geonius. Team Geonius unfortunately didn't win any match in the high league. This will be our 4th game this 2015-2016 MNL season against Geonius.

This weekend you can find Team Awesomesauce (represented by Charley, Yotam and Kilian) with the addition of Gerben Putter (Team Geonius) at the Hammerheads Tournament in Zoetermeer.

Last Monday at the MNL we played against Team Talent, who for some reason had more talent than we had. So far two wins and two losses in the high league.
Unfortunately, our team mates in Team Geonius haven't won any games so far in the high league.

Unfortunately we lost both games (CC Köln and against CC Düsseldorf) on the second day. Nevertheless we had a lot of fun, and ended 7th (out of 12) in the final rankings.

The first day at the Düsseldorfer Radschläger. We won both games! 10-3 against Curling Club Unna (Germany) and 6-5 against Team Letzebuerg (Luxembourg).

After 7 wins this season, Team Awesomesauce had to lose a match! We were absolutely defeated by the Doortrekkers. Let's just say: next time we'll play better.

Nevertheless, Team Awesomesauce (Niek, Yotam, Jan and Kilian) will participate in the Radschläger Bonspiel in Düsseldorf, Germany this weekend!

We won the second MNL game of 2016 (against the Dolly Hunters) 6-2. Team Awesomesauce remains undefeated this 2015-2016 MNL season!

2016 brought Team Awesomesauce to the highest league of the Monday Night League. Our first game was once again (3rd match this year) against Geonius with our former team mates. The 3rd game brought a win (6-4) and hattrick for Awesomesauce.

Encouraged by the results of the Summer Cup, we decided to participate in the coming Hammerheads Trophy with the same team (Charley Van 't Leven, Yotam Raz, Kilian M. Treurniet, Florian Treurniet). Never change an Awesome(sauce) team :)

We are hoping to give quite the performance, have a great time, and of course, we hope to see a lot of familiar faces! So either as a participating team and/or as one of our awesome supporters, we hope to see you there!

Last monday we played the final of Group B against Geonius (with Vincent and Florian). We started well, stealing 3 points in the first end. After that we were never behind, leading to a 6-5 lead in the last end. It came down to the last stone, which was drawn to the dolly by Reg, so we won 7-5. Therefore we now officially won Group B. After the winter stop (who does that in a winter sport), we all will be defending our honour in the Eredivisie, as both Awesomesauce and Geonius have secured their spot in the Eredivisie by finishing first and second in Group B. We will be joined by the winner of the 3-4 match between the Dutch Ladies and the Dutch seniors. As well as the top three from Group A.
