So the 52 and 58 carry enormous significance because they fuel the logical process and they turn bureaucracies into efficient enterprises because experimentation gets done,
When you come to the LOGICAL SIDE, you come to the 52 gate, Keeping Still, Keeping Still Mountain actually, in the original. That sense of the stillness of the mountain itself. How different a process that is because off course here we have the logical format.
The whole thing about how logic works is that logic requires a fixed and focused and concentrated energy. This is the energy to repeat. The abstract energy is the energy not to repeat. And the logic process is about repeating.
Think about somebody who has the 35-36, the channel of transitorines and crisis and they have this logical format. They’re gone be focused and concentrated in their crisis and change. They’re not just gone be able to go through because that would be abstract. But they’re being dictated by an energy format that’s logic that demands that they be focused and concentrated.
So every other aspect of their nature in the genetic continuity of what it is to be is going to respond to the dominance of that format energy.
So Keeping Still Mountain, my nickname for this is the Buddha gate, not because it is particularly spiritual, just because of this image of this guy just sitting under a tree. You know, no place to go, nothing to do, just stare. You see, this is not about the active energy, the driving energy that’s in the 53 “let’s get going, let’s start something new, let’s get out there” This is the passive energy that says “What can I focus on?” “Where can I put my energy passively?” Not burning around and running through and experience but being involved in some kind of repetitive, corrective experiment. This is why this is the format of masters, of mastery. Because mastery is simply the perfection of the pattern, to repeat the pattern over and over and over again. Mastery, endless repetition. Focus and concentration until it has its own life out of that mastery. This is the root of that.
And the nature of the pressure here is that it is the pressure to concentrate, but on what? So many people with the 52 are deeply depressed and they’re just sitting there and look very dark in their corner. They can’t really move. Because this is passive. But they have nothing to concentrate on. So there is a sense of hopelessness, darkness, after all, this is a tunneling energy.
And having anything to concentrate on, not to have something to be focused on. This is the deepest depression for a logical being. It leads to deep uncertainty. This fuel to focus, how important it is for the whole nature of what it is to live in the world as this kind of living form.
And because of the nature of the understanding circuit as being something that is instrumental for maintaining life itself, you only have two gates of energy in the logic system, both of them in the Root: 58 and 52. This is the only energy that logic has. And that means the most important aspect for us in terms of being able to secure our future, our capacity to be able to find through our doubts and suspicions those patterns that need to be challenged and corrected. That to have the power to fix something you have to have access to these energies. These gates have enormous significance in the world. Think about the level of bureaucracy in the world. Think about how difficult it is to take a logical proposal and turn that logical proposal into a financed energy experiment. It costs fortunes. You know, the American political peculiarities demonstrate that so well where you have people spending billions of dollars in competition to see whose pattern is going to be experimented with. And you have this crisis going on in Washington where it’s all about where everybody is getting this soft money, this is all logic people looking for the 52 and 58, “give me your money, give me your energy, otherwise I cannot do this experiment” So the 52 and 58 carry enormous significance because they fuel the logical process and they turn bureaucracies into efficient enterprises because experimentation gets done, not committee after committee after committee.
So to be able to focus, this is an incredible gift. We need that. Without that we would not have millions and millions of people sitting still in scientific factories all over the planet figuring out things. We have to have it.
But it tells you something else, that the moment that this appears in somebody’s chart, it’s telling you that somewhere in their life, they’re going to have to find their true focus in order to be able to fulfill themselves. You see, if you’re a logical person and you go from this to that, you’re never going to be fulfilled because you’ll master nothing, that’s ok if you’re abstract. The abstract gift is not to master things, it’s to collect everything, it’s different. So as a logical being, unless you can find that place of focus, there is this enormous pressure and that pressure to concentrate leads to depression. You know “I’m ready, but what, what am I gone be able to give my whole life to?” Because that’s what logic is all about. It’s about giving your life to something.
The abstract isn’t. The abstract says “well this is going to come to an end” We may get another cycle but it’s still gone come to an end.
And the logic says, “no no no I’m gone keep on being a master until I die.” I mean you can’t get Mick Jagger to retire, can you? You know, he’s been mastering his profession all of his life. You know, I’m looking forward to seeing what he’ll be like at 75 on stage, are they going to wheel him out? That’s the oldest band on earth, that’s wonderful. Mastery is all about repetition, repetition is a magnificent thing.
