The Kleine Friedensfahrt, also known as the TMP Youthtour is one of the biggest stage races for the U15 and U17 age categories, consisting of four stages. Our U15 riders competed as a club team and delivered a fantastic performance.
During the circuit race in Gotha, Malte immediately secured the mountain jersey, while the whole team put themselves in a strong position for the following days. The next day started with an individual time trial, followed by a road race in the afternoon. All riders delivered solid performances in the time trial and attacked again in the afternoon race. In the end, our guest rider finished in 3rd place, Adrian took 9th place, and Malte secured 10th place.
The final day also featured a tough climb and was raced at a very aggressive pace. Once again, the Bruckmühl jerseys were always at the front, and Malte managed to take another 3rd place on the stage. In the final general classification, Sheldon finished 4th overall, Malte 6th, Adrian 10th, and Ben 52nd. As a special highlight, Adrian won the white jersey as the best young rider in the U15 category.
Our U17 riders competed in the federation jersey. In the end, Elia and Valentin also delivered strong performances, finishing 13th overall for Valentin and 65th for Elia. Both riders also gained valuable experience for the rest of the season.
The next stop for our boys will already be Karbach next weekend.
